It might just be me Jacob. My pet hate is watching a wide player not taking his man on or trying to take the ball to the by-line to cut it back. I am probably spoiled by watching Jota do it with relative ease though

Until we beat them again they are.

No wins in the last 7 games against them, can’t imagine any us failing to get a win in 7 games against any of the other teams listed.

Can’t say we’re fked 40M at this stage mate ffs, total defeatist attitude, granted it’s a big setback no doubt about it and shocking we haven’t got a striker, one plus is as Sunday proved definitely have goals through out the team, definitely a bummer though, stupid playing him tonight and I know everyone loves his 100% enthusiasm and workrate but wish he would calm down a bit, playing like that can lead to they kind of injury a on a regular basis

Was not happy to see Kyogo come on for Ajeti, fearing he would be injured, and said as much at half time. Should have been Johnston to replace Ajeti. Now we hope it is a minor problem but I fear the worst.

Abada seems to have a problem with miss-kicking the ball. Needs to look up for his target, then look down to take the kick, not the other way around. He attempted to kick a sightless ball.

Johnston, very frustrating to watch. Why would you pass to a player covered by a defender to your right, when you have a player free on your left ? This is the non-clinical thinking and goal wasting opportunities that annoys us all. He does not convince me he has the brains to play well.

At the 90 min mark Scales comes to take the ball for a throw in and the camera is on him - my mind goes to Billy McNeill.

Bitton played a very good game tonight . Handled the responsibility very well.

This was a significant win for Celtic tonight. We beat a class team, with a young team and blooded them and they met the challenge. Good for Ange that thy can deal with the big occasion, good to see Academy players on the pitch, good for the fans to see Ange's work in depth with the squad. Good viewing for the board as well to back Ange in what he wants to do.

The fans are amazing . Still come to watch the team in their thousands in a match where the result does not bear much fruit for Celtic. Great suppport. Not many clubs anywhere are as fortunate as Celtic in this regard.

The play was disjointed at times but I thought it was notable how much more height and strength we had in the team. Granted, we were playing Spaniards.

They need to look up the sports research on this to get the answer and avoid these injuries. Ice baths.

If Giakoumakis had acted like a professional football player and looked after himself we would not have Kyogo running himself into the ground each week and getting an injury. Kyogo is a player with spirit and integrity and gives 100%.

I do not see this in GG. There is no passion and intensity in his play. I hope he does not become another Barkas. He better fire up soon because you are only as good as your last game. He needs to get his * together, otherwise he will be seen as more interested in getting his wages than playing football. Kyogo is playing more minutes than he should be so far this season because Giakoumakis keeps declaring himself unfit to play, leaving us with no options regarding central forwards. Once Maeda comes in GG will be third cab in line.

You have to take the positives...

Ange's system is clearly being adopted throughout the club and there are players ready to step up all over the park. I'd love to see Moffat get a chance... and Lawal... and Scales and Uro... but the problem is strikers.

As long as we're within striking difference by the end of January, I reckon we'll smash the league (but please bring in Maeda and at least two other first team level players).

Well * me with a fish fork, still at a loss to explain how but delighted there was no tanking and we deserved the win overall. Dunno if it was a full moon or what, some players looked transformed - Urhoghide was meant to be a total donkey! Bitton showing off! 90 mins from Mccarthy! Bain making saves!

Am i right in saying we needed the extra coefficient points to guarantee getting straight into the champions league?

The similarities of the game v Lille are quite mad. MD6, dead rubber, very early similar goal by a CB, Turnbull winner, penalty. Going ahead all 3 times too. Not doubt Soro would’ve been booked too. At least we are in a much better place than we were back then, injury’s aside.
