Which clown at the GB suggested a * 90 minute silent protest?

Who exactly does that apply pressure to?

    * no one.

In what way will the BoD be influenced?

    In no * way.

Basically removing the backing for the team for a FULL GAME.

    Utterly non sensical.

Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face.

What's the next protest going to escalate to? Buying out all the stock at the superstore? Washing and waxing Bankiers car while he's alseep?

Absurd way to make a point. A point the ENTIRE support is behind. Can only hurt both the reputation of the GB, and by extension, support the board narrative that they're being unreasonable.

I'm blown away by the utter stupidity of this.

I don’t see silent protests as the way to defy. I think we should make as much noise as possible opposing this appointment and the lack of communication from the board. Megaphones and smuggled air horns with pyro would attract the attention. I’ll stop short of a sonic attack. Seriously, you are never gonna represent all the fans but the majority of the fan clubs highlighted should have input. Maybe they have?

    No another one of these..

The GB would be better pulling an FIO in to their section and cuffing him to a drum..

How about the other 90% of fans in the stadium make an effort instead of moaning about the gb ? :fear:

Sorry to say but how self entitled is this, I'm fully behind the large percentage of what the GB do but posts like this and the one earlier makes the GB look like they think they're bigger fans and mean more to celtic than the average punter. That in itself is childish, much like the silent protest, just don't show up to the game? Why not show up and sing outside while the games on, then when the enviable police interaction happens use that to highlight the issue of harassment?

But no instead let's do something that will harm the team, what is clawing back the title one game at a time, yet knowing that the silence will create a toxic and negative atmosphere they'd rather potentially cost us points than sing songs? How very pretentious.

The GB getting the blame for the team dropping points is actually embarrassing.

This could have been avoided all the club need to is come out and update the fans.

They’ve done stuff like this before, not got their own way and then just resumed as normal.

If it didn’t work all those times why would it work this time?

Only money talks, nothing else. This only damages the team and gains their objective nothing.

They already cost us points against livi, that's already been pointed out and agreed on. You canny defend the indefensible sorry.

Yes it could have been but yet again that's already been mentioned that there are better ways to protest.

Playing devil's advocate is pretty cringe too.

This is such a bad take IMO.

    “Why not, why not”

Why not back down from hiring Higgins so none of this * has to happen?

    Hardly unreasonable.

The boards behaviour is absolutely despicable but we’re winning so as predicted they can do whatever the * the want.

The last thing away managers will say to their players before they go out will be ‘silence the crowd and we’ll have a chance’.

We’re doing that for them before a ball is kicked. Not very clever.

Does anyone actually think the board give a * about how quiet the ground is? They don’t even care about empty seats, as long as they are paid for at the start of the season.

Behind protests all the way against these parasites in the boardroom. But I would love to know what other options were discussed with regards to protest tactics. Looks to me like a lack of imagination if the groups are returning to a tactic that has already failed.

We can only hope the club get in touch before tomorrow night to arrange a sit down, otherwise the groups are gonna start losing a lot of respect from folk like me who otherwise support them to the hilt.

We’re seeing an argument here that says,

“Where do the green brigade get the notion they’re important and deserve not to be singled out by cops, but also they are severely damaging our team by not singing

    Make up your mind please.

Basically the green brigade have to shut the * up but also sing all game even if they have a problem with their lives being harassed by scummy cops.

Aye I'm with them 100% but it was to our own team's detriment last time..

They clearly stated, 'back the team, sack the board'...so going back as you say....just feels like banging head's against the wall..

I'm no sure what would really make them sit up and take notice. They're clearly hoping this all blows over....at least try something different though..

I know man, I feel a bit daft going against this with no alternative suggestions, but surely the folk making these decisions can come up with something a bit more positive?

Treading dangerous water here, if we drop points on Sunday during a silent protest the majority of the support will be fuming with them.

I think it's disgraceful that the club want to appoint Higgins when he was presiding over the OBFA.

I sympathise with everyone who was harassed. Teenagers, young guys. Searched. Football fans. Filmed, cuffed, kettled and arrested under a repealed and discrimatory law.

The court process itself, and the time in between destroyed the wellbeing of many. Only for them to have the case against them thrown out by a Judge.

Of course the Celtic Board want to hire Higgins. The want to intimate and control the supporters. The guy is an * out of work.

Every fan group says no to this football fan battoning pig being anywhere near Parkhead. Why aren't they listening?
