Just need to say in touch until the window..

Thought we were breathtaking at times in the first half..

Still, setpieces remain a real worry, that's a weakness that needs rectified.

Me too it was really clicking in that first half and it was awesome to watch. I believe Rogic is a massive part of that and say it all the time.

The second half at times was worrying though. A few injuries and the first eleven looks dramatically weaker. Especially without Jota who we've kinda relied on a bit too much in the last few months.

With Ralston out we lose loads of that physicality and edge too. I like Montgomery but he is still developing.

Every game recently is showing us that we need at least 3 or so quality additions in January if we want to take this title.

I absolutely get that... and I really like Ange's style of play.

I just have this niggling feeling that we're going to drop more points to SPL dross due to the players being out on their feet for the last 3rd of the game, and the Bench not being up to the task of seeing us over the line.

It's been getting worse as the season has gone on (understandably as the core players are tiring). We have a lot of games this month - I just want to still be in the fight, and not have a squad decimated by injury, after the New Year.

My only concern with Ange is that he appears to be 'binary' in his management - he has NEVER demonstrated that he has a Plan B... far less a C, D or E.

In my opinion, he needs to understand the need to rotate players, if he intends to insist on the energy-intensive style of play. Not even Ralston can play every game.

Do you really think he doesn't understand that? He's been saying it for months himself and when he has rotated fans have lost their *. He makes triple subs at times because he knows every minute's rest counts, which again has been met with fury.

Unfortunately our bench options are nowhere near the level of our starters which makes it difficult to rotate.

Kyogo to Ajeti or Giakoumakis (* is happening with him btw)?

    Jota to Johnston

    McGregor/Turnbull to McCarthy/Soro

    Ralston/Juranovic to Montgomery/Boli

    The difference is staggering

I get the point, but either those backups play some games as part of a plan, or they have to play, because the bodies of our best players have broken down. I'm okay with the risk of a poor performance because the manager rested Ralston, Jota, etc. Now, it's not a matter of rest- they are already injured.

Fair enough I want to see more rotation too but the sad fact is they can't be trusted.

I mean look at the Leverkusen game. Front 3 come on with 8 minutes to go and we lose 2 goals. Pathetic stuff

It is pathetic, but also shows the need for a defensive coach, to make up for Ange's focus on attack.
The lack of bench options is not as severe in some positions, though. Abada, Forrest and Johnston can both play left wing, for example. We have an overabundance of decent natural left backs, meaning Juranović could have given Ralston a rest game. Yes, we're weaker in the air withoutr Tony, but it's a matter of sacrificing his assets for one game, or losing them for multiple. I now dread to find out how many games will Tony be forced to miss.

We have almost nobody to let Kyogo rest. Ajeti is just so static, and Giakoumakis isn't up to speed. I'd consider having Abada start against Leverkusen as the striker. Bitton can do McGregor's job at DM, Soro can run around at CM (yes, he has flaws, but isn't the worst), and McCarthy was okay in his last start.

    Slam dunk..

Said in the other thread but he's probably sick of that busted beak orange * Neilson talking *. Got untold favourable decisions on opening day. Said we were thenbest draw they could've got at Celtic Park in the cup. Blabbering on about decisions last night..

You can tell exactly what wee Robbie is. Him and elbows on the sidelines..

Ange has consistently held back on calling out ref's and decisions, but now pundits/media and manager's are trying to paint the picture that we get a lot of decisions that go our way, unquestioned. Time to start calling them out..

What a guy though. They can't budge him..

Said to my boy I thought Souter looked ok last night, had a great challenge on rogic bursting into the box. I don't know if he's any good or worth taking a punt on bcoz of the Achilles injury he's had but he's gonny be a free soon.

He threw himself at every attempt in the box. If he could stay fit he would be a good signing.
