So swiftly moving on looking at Feyenoord back line tonight I reckon we can hopefully get a few goals past them on Sunday.

I didn't manage to see much of it though they did look shakey, so here's hoping we get a win on sunday.

I really wish people didn't use Caps Lock so much on here. I'm a member on about half a dozen forums and this is by far the worst for lack of diction in posts. Does it really kill some of you to not use the Caps Lock function and actually use a bit of decent punctuation and grammar in your posts?

Three championships in a row (a 100% record) and you want the manager sacked because you are not happy with the pre-season results.

    That is idiotic.

Pre-season or not we saw the same problems, we are not good enough defensively from mid to back and the players we have cannot compete against quality opposition in a 4-4-2 formation.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
The majority of times the opposition are too quick of mind and body and our players chase shadows. For some reason our manager is either blind to seeing these problems or he is tactically inept of doing anything about it.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
The game against Porto, for once we played 4-5-1, it was obvious for all to see that although we were second best in terms of possession we competed and closed the space. While in possession of the ball ourselves we had more options and kept it for longer periods. In essence we looked a balanced and coherent unit.
    <o:p></o:p>

If we persist with 4-4-2 in Europe then we need to buy a number of players IMO our whole back 4 is not good enough, neither is our 2 CM players and a pacey striker would be needed.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
However if we changed to a 4-5-1, then that would give the defence more protection. While our midfield players would have an extra body to help out and give balance. If we used that formation in Europe, then we could get away with 3 or 4 quality signings. 1 CB a LB and a DM player as must signings, plus a quality CF as a luxury.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
<o:p>BTW I am not judging this solely by last night’s game, however WGS said that these games are to help fine tune us for Europe. I am sorry but I don’t see any fine tuning being done just the same formation with the same players, that has struggled in the past.<o:p></o:p>

    boring boring boring

no attempts at goal, dont care if it only a friendly we have no creativity at all unless you give the ball to mcgeady

mcgeady apart we have no pace in midfield and yes we will probably be good enough to beat the pub teams in the spl and stay slightly ahead of the huns but how can we be happy with that???

i challenge anyone to tell me that they are excited about going into europe with this squad because i aint, we are four top drawer players away from being a decent team

where is all the money from the last two years??

i am not suggesting we spend silly money but we clearly need to spend around ten million on three to four players.. lb, ch, cm and striker

    samaras not the answer !!!

Knock off using capslocks, you've posted a couple with them on. Someone is already serving a ban for the way they type and you aint far from one either, remember?

I can and will call someone a hun for wanting Celtic to loose 6-0. If they cannot accept that, they can ask for the alternative medicine instead.
