I hate that Kyogo, Abada and Ange song. Kyogo should be celebrated individually with a banger..

After winning the Scottish Premiership Manager of the Month award for October, Ange Postecoglou was quick to share the recognition with the rest of his staff and squad.

An undefeated month, with crucial wins away at Aberdeen, Motherwell and Hibernian, helped the manager pick up his first accolade as Hoops boss.

While results are key, maintaining the performances and progress has been one of the most pleasing aspects for the Australian.

He said: “When you have such a strong period, it’s a reflection of the whole group.

“The players have maintained a fantastic level of performance, but also all the staff. You only get that consistency of performance if the whole group is contributing and this award is a great reflection of their efforts.

It's other people within this building that help them prepare for games. This has been a team effort and it will continue to be that way.

“What can’t be overlooked is that it was a critical period for us, we almost had to be perfect in this period if we wanted to maintain our progress.

“Our away record prior wasn’t great. We knew we had three tough away games in that period against good opponents, so to win was super pleasing and to see the players cope with that kind of pressure.

'What we do know is that won’t ease up. We’ve got to continue and the players and staff will get a lot of belief knowing we have come through that period so well.'

The month didn’t go by without its hiccups, with injuries sustained to key players. But having the ability to change the squad and continue picking up the points has pleased the Hoops boss, alongside getting new contracts for Anthony Ralston and Greg Taylor.

“That’s been our biggest progress in this period,” he said. “Tom Rogic was outstanding for us and he dropped out and we lost Carl Starfelt for the last couple of games.

“Nir Bitton and Stephen Welsh have stepped in and our performances haven’t dropped – that’s been the most pleasing thing.

“Ralston and Taylor have worked hard for their opportunities and have shown the right characteristics and values. That’s important when you’re building a new team.

“I’m pleased for the boys. You want to be able to tie some anchors down, where you know they will be part of what we're doing going forward.”

Me too. * song that seems so out of place - especially the "Ange is our leader we follow celtic all over the wo-orld" bit. Just fizzles out and sounds off

The good thing about Ange, is he won't be effected by the media or hype around the Huns, he's got a clear vision that he won't be swayed from..

I think we're starting to see the results of Ange steadfastly sticking to his ideals. When Cal, Kyogo and others were out, Ange copped a lot of flack for not being 'more pragmatic' and changing to suit the players at his disposal. As he stood on the sidelines not doing anything, it was assumed that it was because he was clueless and simply couldn't see what was obvious to everyone else. But it was always about the long-game and developing the squad to a point where they could all execute his style of play. We've seen that with Bitton and Welsh stepping into the side recently and not really negatively impacting the quality of the team performance. Even McCarthy in his cameo in Europe looked more comfortable with the style of football.

I don't want to sound like a cheerleader and obviously the guy isn't completely infallible, but it's clear that the signs are there that we could be building something special with Ange.

I think alot of fans now will be expecting to win the league now if slippy and company leave the zombies and it must be a huge advantage for us and with incoming players in January we need to take any advantage .
