Kyogo Furuhashi

Its not so much that they outright wouldn’t sign him - but it will be a factor that counts against him for most of them. You simply don’t see it very often - players of that age going to an premiership side will typically be coming from one of the bigger leagues. You’ll get the odd exception, but they’re usually backup players, or similar.

They’ll still look at him if he continues to perform, but given his age it’s not simply a case of us knowing he will be here for 2/3 years before moving on, as it would be if he was in his early 20’s for instance.

He reminds me a lot of Robbie Keane for us, last guy I can remember who’s movement caused that much havoc.

 

When Dembele left we had Edouard, when Edouard left we now have Kyogo, three top standard strikers in a row, in the current financial climate, to have had these three players as our main strikers over the last 5 years is incredible
