That miss was terrible and so was falling on his * after trying to be skillful :giggle1:

Shows nice touches and a bit of skill at time's, like the one two with Forrest but need more from him..

Very strong and holds it up well but can see he's trying way too hard. 92nd minute and Turnbull is taking the freekick....he's almost the only player in the box and calling for a cross. Turnbull goes short to Tony and he throws his arms in the air * off..

Still think he'll come good but a lot of the groans will be because of that penalty miss. Think a lot will take a while to come back from that..

He’s a completely different player to Kyogo, so it’s harsh to criticise him for that. We’d look worse bringing anyone else on for Kyogo too.

As you said, it’s a team issue. The whole team drops deeper and the tempo lowers when Kyogo isn’t on the park, which certainly makes the lone striker role more difficult and the team in general less of an attacking threat.

I think it's going to take this guy a while to relax into being a Celtic player. He looks a bag of nerves playing for us, I'm not sure if he's intimidated by the standard of player or size of club but he really need to start moving more and giving options if he wants to be a success here.

Just a different type of player. He's not direct, he's more physical, a little slower , suited to a one up front . Can't compare them both.

Still early days with Giakoumakis. Even Kyogo when first in the team missed a fair few sitters.

He does seem to be much better suited to our game than Ajeti :fear:.

As I said in another thread, I'm beginning to think he is our new Ajeti. Hopefully big Ange will work some of his magic on him

You think he would be. Going by his previous clips and the fact he doesn't play like Kyogo with movement etc.
    He just looks pish

His strength will be a bonus and will be needed at times, just needs to calm down a bit seems overeager at the moment.

Part of me is thinking he needs a run of games to show what he can do. But the other part of me is worried about us doing that because I just think he has offered nothing in his appearances.

Isn’t suited to our style at all.

True but not to be expected of every forward coming into the team.

Too eager to get involved by coming deep or running out to the wing to take the ball. Needs to stay central for a start. Still early days but we definitely can't trust him to start games for now.

He's missed a handful of absolute sitters already though. I want him to be a success, of course I do .. but it looks like he's another Bayo, Cifti, Polish Paddy, Ajeti.

    Last ten years
    Pass: Kyogo, Eddy, Dembele, Griffiths.

Fail: Ajeti, Afolabi, Klimala, Bayo, Ciftci, Kazim Richards, Pukki (although he'd probably be great now), Noiiou and Bangura.

The total spend on failures is pretty similar to the pass marks. I don't mind going for the odd punt but far too many.

Loans such as Weah, Guidetti or Burke weren't abject failures but not massive successes. Guidetti scored okay but was * post Christmas from what I remember.

I'm inclined to agree with most of this. I think the thing is he is the kind of player who'd be good against teams like the Huns, where they're gonna physically smash players like Jota, Abada and Kyogo and we can expect no protection from the refs. Problem is that if he doesn't get enough games/time to sharpen up and settle he'll not be sharp enough to be of use.
