He epitomises what's lacking in our midfield..

He's literally the opposite of what we need. Slow on and off the ball..

And same from our center halfs, just always went to our full backs, you can see this even before they get the ball they are never getting their heads up.
But, at the end of the day, it was a typical Nir Bitton performance.

It’s a bit hard to pass to your 6 when he’s camped in between you and not in the midfield where he’s meant to be.

His performance was summed up today by two separate incidents. First was a simple pass to his feet under no pressure and he wasn’t watching the ball so it went under his foot. The second happened pretty soon after the first, except finally he had made a run from CB and popped up in the box unmarked. Pass came into his feet and he took his eye off the ball and it went under his foot and through to the Livi player.

Try’s to play the laidback too cool for school role :31:

Hes not a regular starter and he provides decent enough cover at an acceptable level. Those things get better with game time. For someone who plays 3-4 games a year he's remarkably ok.

He should never be playing against teams that sit back, just asking for trouble.

He's a fine sub for the last 20/30 minutes of a game, and maybe he could start against the likes of Hibs/Hearts where we'll need to defend a bit more, but starting him against Livingston of all teams? Was always asking for trouble.

Needs about 5 touches before passing. So * slow moving the ball.

    I almost hate him

He’s one of they guys that when you see their name on the team sheet you just associate it with a turgid team performance, like Lewis Morgan, David Fernandez, Ajeti, Willo Flood

This guy really must either be the most loveable person in the entire world, or has some extremely incriminating pictures of one of our highest officials on the Celtic board, because I genuinely cannot believe that he is STILL here and is gonna be due a testimonial soon.

    My word…

He was once a useful player but rapidly approaching the surplus to requirements stage. Stil is a useful holding player and has a killler pass, but, his days are numbered. Yeah, his defensive side is lacking when called upon; he’s powder puff when what you really need is a big Irish warrior type (not hove albion’s finest, donkey duffy, I might add ... what a debacle that was!).

He infuriates me every time I see him, he is so one paced and often a liability against any decent opposition.

We actually done not bad at getting rid of deadwood over the last season but have ended up signing more particularly in midfield.

Bitton, McCarthy and Soro have all been horrible for us this season. It’s a shame there doesn’t seem to be any young guys ready to step up, even the young guys like Robertson, his team are getting hammered every week,
Connell isn’t even getting a start at Queen’s Park and Shaw seems nowhere to be seen despite a couple of half decent performances preseason.

For me Bitton has been here too long and should have never been kept on when his last deal was up.

I think he's going the need a few more games to get up to speed, I'd be willing to persist with him for now, his first start since Jablonec away.

Been in and out the team since 2013. Honestly during that time I can never really recall a time of being left impressed with him. Infact, I nearly feel like when i see him starting I fear we are in for a rough time of it. He contributes absolutely nothing. Slow, weak and whilst I assume his pass accuracy is high its no wonder, he literally moves the ball to his nearest man. Side to side. I can never recall a splitting pass or through ball. He offers our attacking play nothing and very little to our defense too!

He always comes into the team at the cost of an injury. Clearly never rated at first team level. I'd imagine he is one of our higher earners too.

Soro has his downsides sure but atleast he has energy, fight and will pass forward. Ewan Henderson also looks to get the ball forward. I honestly cannot see how under every manager Bitton finds himself covering injuries.

Not sure it'll ever happen but preying mccarthy finds some fitness and finds the form he has shown in the past.

Bitton blunts us in a big way. We are a much weaker outfit when he is lining up

I stuck him in a lineup or two recently but only because of our lack of depth, McCarthy no ready, Soro bombed out etc..

Truthfully though, he's long overstayed his welcome here in my opinion. Offers us nothing..

Should be hunted in January with some better replacements in..
