Before yesterday I would have said yes. Dropping 2 points and going 4 points behind, in October? It’s clearly over now. Everybody knows league titles are won in October ffs.

I think we are too inconsistent personally and don't have the heart for it either. We needed Ange in a lot earlier to get his ideas and signings in place. Hopefully we can cut out these silly draws and defeats like yesterday soon.

Yes - we still have players bedding in but have been improving (mostly*) week on week. The squad is starting to show some character (mostly*) and we are second.

Stay in second or improve our current position, win January 2nd and have a decent January transfer window and I think we are firm favourites. Don't do those things and we still have a chance.

    * - not yesterday

I voted no and I’m usually optimistic. When we’re good we’re a potent threat to any side, but when we struggle we’ve yet to come up with adequate answers. Lack of squad depth will continue to be an issue too.

Do you think we can win the league and do you think we will win the league are two very different questions, and most of the replies seem to address the former.

I think our hopes rely on julien coming bak and hitting the ground alongside forest tbh , both vital big game players , julien a major threat from set play ,against teams like livi or huns , forest is a huge miss in assists and goals ,would be tempted to move abada to rogics position wen he is missing as he likes to cut inside anyway, and can hit the ball really well ,that's my take ,to hard to call but atm we proved we don't have the mentality ,taking chances in front of goal or while our rivals are faltering .

It’ll be a competition and that’s all we could have hoped for given the volume of upheaval we’ve had to this point.

Would be much more confident if we could actually defend set pieces, think at times we are too intricate and try to walk the ball into the net.

There are flashes of brilliant play, 1st half against hibs i thought we were exceptional, but we need consistency.

I think so. I think we've been improved in recent weeks. Yesterday was very disappointing but these things happen. As frustrating a game as I've seen but I fully believe in what the manager is doing. Hopefully get a couple of new faces in January.

Folk saying it's over in October are mental. From what I've seen of the Huns so far, I think they're going to drop more than us.

No we are not consistent enough. Every game is a edge of your seat stuff. Yesterday was a major blow.

I think so, but I think it's going to be painfully close.

January is huge - get it right and we'll be on our way.

    Long way to go.

But we need to be able to score no matter what in games like yesterday. Our inability to conquer Livingston is bizarre.

The Huns will drop plenty mote points but whether we can keep capitalising is another thing. I just hope tomorrow doesn't bite us in 7 months time.

I think their result today could push them on to a real run. If we don't beat them on the 2nd of Jan then I'd say we won't win the league at that stage, the momentum from that game will be massive for both sides. We need to start beating them again.

Yes. We will win the league although it’s gonna be a rollercoaster.

My opinion on Wednesday was we will win the league, and one poor weekend hasn't changed that.

This season is going to a scrap with us and them after xmass, over taking each other every other week. Then come April/May it'll be a dog fight and we will come out on top!

I was certain we would. However after Saturday I do fear we don't have the bottle for it.

First part I agree with, he's not done enough yet to be chased or lauded. Some great progress in areas, some continued issues in others.

Second point isn't really accurate to the events either, as there's at least of couple of those matches where we should've gotten at least draws but momentary failures sunk us. I think we're looking much more organized and resilient than before, as witnessed by our shipping far less goals than before. I know points on the board are all that matter, but I think we're at least a match for them now, versus the Lennon era

    No.

The signs are actually very ominous despite the current lead being far from insurmountable.

The Klan have played very poorly in most if not all of their games this season and yet they're still at the top having lost only once, back in August.

They've managed to come back from a losing position on 4 separate occasions so far. We've been behind 3 times and lost all 3.

What happens when they hit some form? Today looked like the beginning of them turning the corner. It's the first time they've properly destroyed a team this season, no doubt buoyed by our disastrous result yesterday. It may prive to be a false dawn, but you cannot expect them to play poorly for the entirety of the season. They now look more likely to put on a winning run with the momentum behind them.

We on the other hand look incapable of putting on a winning run lasting no longer than 4 or 5 games. I remember that used to be an issue for Gerrard, they'd look like challenging but then have an inevitable * up in the 6th game.

The fact we are so awful without Kyogo tells you dreadful our squad depth is. You don't win league titles by being reliant on a very small core of players.

There's also the fact that we've struggled massively in the derby games against the Klan's ultra defensive system. I don't see that changing either.

It was quite telling that despite them having the best season in any of the Rangers's history, and us having our worst in 20 years, they could never properly do us over the derbies last year in the way Rodgers was regularly dishing out 5-0s and 4-0s and 5-1s all over the place. The best they managed was 4-1 in a dead rubber with the 4th goal coming in injury time. We actually were the better team in most of the derbies but still failed to register a win. Ffs they won at Ibrox in January without even getting a shot on target.

That pattern repeated itself this season when we played them off the park, had the most clear cut chances but still lost. Their system is designed to stop others from playing - it's ugly, conservative and mechanical but it's been incredibly effective against us.

The only real hope I have is that we bring in serious quality in January. That would be a game-changer. For me the priority has to be midfield.

Losing Christie has arguably hurt us more than losing Ajer or Edouard despite those two being better players. But the problem is we are so lacking in depth in midfield that Christie's loss is actually felt more deeply.

You cannot play Rogic and Turnbull in the same side. It has to be one or the other. For me it's Rogic but with his poor injury record Turnbull will get his fair share of games. Though I'd argue going forward we should be looking at a signing for that position too.

More problematically, we don't have a number 8, which in my view, was actually Christie's best position. Yes he was persistently poor against the Klan but against the rest he had the energy and dynamism to play that role effectively.

Not having a natural number 8 is doing serious disruption to our midfield going forward. For me it all feels a bit haphazard which is why when McGregor or Rogic are out we're really scrambling for quality. I'd go as far to say we're then left with MF options not much better than teams like Hibs or the Sheep.
