How can other teams manage to find a way to score goals against Livi whereas we always struggle to break them down. I fully appreciate that they defend en masse against us but surely we would know that and perhaps try something different instead of continuously sideway passing. Just shows how much we mis big Rogic as well

Hibs wanted to play Football, Livi (for the second time this season) didn't. There really isn't much you can do if their complete gameplay is to have 11 players playing 30 yards from their own box.

Just out of interest if you describe the 0-0 draw against livy today as a 'disaster', how do you describe our 3 recent away wins against aberdeen, motherwell and hibs?

That’s nonsense. Good teams find a way to break teams down. We were bereft of ideas.

I didn’t say he wasn’t fit. I said he can’t play every game.

We are shocking for burning players out.

So using your theory, every team that is weaker than the other team they only have to put 11 players 30 yards from their goal?
    That's what you are saying!

Man for man we are a much better team but we got beat as the other team defended the entire time.
That is literally the managers job to find a way to break the defending team down and make his team score!

Not keep doing the same thing and hope for a different outcome!

So we just accept dropping points against teams parking the bus?

We need to accept that if we don't play well that it's a distinct possibility, and a reasonably good one at that... Livingston of all teams are the bastion of negative, anti-football style, with the vain hope of stealing something from about 2 chances in a game.

They are, to me, the very measure of everything that's wrong with Scottish football - they (and others) would rather not play in the hope that they'll occasionally draw Vs go for it and occasionally win. They'll treat today's draw like a victory, and speak of how well they played and be lauded across the country for it, when in truth this is a huge part of the reason the rest of the world don't want to watch our game - it's as boring as *!

Happens in literally every league in the world.

A team with a budget about 100 times smaller than their opponents is absolutely well within their rights to park the bus and play for a draw.

Us complaining about it is nothing more that sour grapes in all honesty. You hear it whenever a smaller side puts in a stubborn defensive performance, wether it’s Livingston vs Celtic or Celtic vs Barcelona.

You’d have to be an absolute roaster to think it’s acceptable to drop points at home to Livi, never mind trying to excuse it.

That result today when we had the chance to go top and apply pressure is embarrassing.

The league is the main priority this season and it looks like he prioritised playing Kyogo from the start against Ferencvaros which is all wrong and complacency at best.

I know what the score was, stupid. It was pathetic.
I didn't change my username to The Genius being serious ffs, it was because some other idiot on here was telling how we are blessed to have Ange, how he is a total genius.

Aberdeen was good, nothing more considering this was an Aberdeen team also in transition with a manager who may well be a dud. An Aberdeen team that went 10 games without a win.

Motherwell and Hibs were great performances.

Where are all the jokers who told us we'll concede loads under Ange but we'll score more?

Biton wasn’t even playing midfield, he was camped in at CB. That’s not what we need v Livi, we need our 6 picking up the ball in midfield like CalMac has been doing. That’s why we keep playing CalMac, Turnbull and Rogic, they pick the ball up in the midfield spaces. Biton can’t do that.

We desperately need more midfielders in January.
