No one knows that for sure but he is due a slice of good fortune, his wee 15 min spell shows he is raring to go ,I feel this year he will come good .

 

You'd like to think that with his nomadic life before joining us, that he may want to settle down at a club that supports him and he is guaranteed game time.

Then again, that could've been said of Paddy Roberts.

I hope he has his head screwed on and signs a permanent deal with us come the end of the season.

 

No he wasn’t and isn’t. Different types of players.

 

Don't take this the wrong way but 15 mins means * all. 'I feel this year he will come good' has been said for each of the past few seasons by many and is wearing thin as it never happens.

This is his make or break season. He's 22 and only had 60 ish senior appearances (unsure how many of those were 90 mins) due to either competition or injury. He needs to get the finger out and quickly.

 

We all said the same thing in our head 'for * sake Mickey'. Your way of looking at it I think comes from that frustration and that frustration comes from the fact that we all know he has it at this level. However I would suggest to try looking at it this way;

If it takes him until he is 25 to come good and maintains it for 5+ years it would amount to an investment of a couple million if that for a great player. I honestly don't think we could get a player of that quality we could bring in at 25 for a couple million + 3 years inflation.

Jota is * * hot, so would be very happy to have him with Johnston as back-up and build up so even if we only see Johnston 5/15 times this season and next then it will work in favour of signing Jota a permanent contract with us. Imagine Johnston came real * good this season, I doubt we would be able to keep both as both would want to play.

All round a positive situation for the club as far as I'm concerned.

The whole movement was class,I actually gasped at Jota pass and the wee mans control ....I will always remember it.
The fact the wee man scored was the cherry.
This is the level we should be watching every time the Celtic team take to the park....long may it continue.
