I hate this more than anything as well.

There are plenty of good managerial candidates all over Europe who would jump at the chance at our job.

But in all honesty the question is ‘What decent manager would take the job under the current conditions?’

Not allowed your own staff. No data analysts. No scouting network. Limited control over transfers. Huge expectations.

    It’s a poisoned chalice.

We couldn’t convince the ex Bournemouth manager to take the gig and he’s still unemployed.

Just said elsewhere that the focus needs to go on the board. Protests regularly as they have had a fairly easy time of it (albeit they silenced the support when we were vocal)..

Honestly man, get this nonsense so far to *. Absolutely everyone will tell you the board haven’t backed him enough. No one is suggesting he’s been dealt an easy hand.

However, to insinuate the board are at fault for performances against Livingston, Dundee United and the absolute hammering we had tonight is laughable. He’s trying to play a system that doesn’t suit the players on the pitch. It’s as simple as that. I’ve seen one manager play this inverted full back role, Pep at Bayern and he wasn’t playing with Adam Montgomery and * Anthony Ralston. He’s playing it with Lahm and Alaba. He’s been here long enough to know what system suits the players he picks.

No doubt, he’s been unlucky with injuries and he hasn’t been backed enough but no one will tell me the performances in the league and tonight were because the board didn’t back him.

Of course the board is the main issue but Ange is also a huge part of their under investment you can't honestly tell me he was the best manager available to us. Ange got the coup here not Celtic. How can you slate the board but stand by the appointment there essentially the same issue

    This. Absolutely * this.

The support need to wake up. Plenty of quality managers, staff and players would come here, but not to work under a bunch of little incompetent men that have built their own little kingdom at OUR expense.

The board are NOT fit for purpose.

Being unable to attract the out of work ex Bournemouth manager and being unable to keep our new ceo for more than 3 months just highlights the major problems we clearly have in the boardroom.
Ange was a panic appointment and it’s starting to show unfortunately.

I think you are missing the point mate. Postecoglou should never be in the job in the first place. It is the board who * up bringing in Howe, and then opted for Postecoglou. That’s the real problem here. Yes Postecoglou should be more tactically aware, but it looks like this job is too big for him, which is no surprise in all honesty. The board needed a puppet though, and this is the result of that.

I still back ange and the system but I agree there is a time and place and tonight wasnt it, having said that we looked miles better going forward.
Need to win Sunday and hopefully things will improve after the international break when we get players back and provided no one comes back injured.

He's not a poor manager, just a stubborn one. He proved with the right player his tactics work. A poor manager is one without any tactical knowledge like Lennon. Ange is just not world class. It could work though if the board wouldn't run our club like a * sunday league team.

Ange with our board probably won't work but whst is already clear is, that anyone better either won't come here because they aren't taking * from the board, like Howe, or they play eye cancer football that might just gives us the Champions League money for next year but that won't get invested in the team anyway, it will end up in Desmond's and the board members' pockets. And we won't progress with that kind of negative football as well.

So, no change in management will improve the situation unless it's at owner and board level.

I Wouldn't blame him as behind the scenes at the club is a shambles no permanent CEO no head of recruitment and he has no backroom team of his choice and the squad is still seven players short for a even a half decent squad .

He came in too far into pre-season to expect much more than we are seeing now. This is a full rebuild not comparable to the teams the more recent previous managers took over.

The management of the club is the biggest issue not the manager. Not saying he is the right man for the job but he's not had the right opportunities so far to be able to judge him fairly.

That is something that * me off about some of our support. When it comes to us needing a new manager, this board have managed to drive some fans expectations down that much, that some fans think the likes of Lennon and Postecoglou are the best that we can do, because they are so convinced that we cannot attract anyone better. It’s a nonsense. The reason we cannot get better is because of the rats running the club. We are a huge club, that plenty managers would be grateful for the job, but not under this board.

With all due respect mate, you know fine well I know he was not the best manager available to us.

Was he the best available manager willing to work under the draconian conditions that this board impose?

    Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?

No self respecting manager is taking our job with the sanctions imposed on them.

That's not how our transfer dealings work! Scales is a Desmond signing and the other two were probably the only option Ange was allowed to take. Maybe he had a say in the Starfeld transfer but CCV was most probable a plum taken by who ever does our transfer dealings.

Really a club like no other.. In its transfer dealings...
