Normally I come across ones that overtake my previous favourite, but this has been a mainstay for years now. Just unbelievable.

Probably better but not as raw , I love this intro from The Cults Billy Duffy and it is just pure rock n roll.

It's an old one but the guitar at the end is excellent.

Love wishbone Ash. Just about the most underrated band ever. Especially this line up with Andy Powell and lawrie wiesfeld on guitars. And Martin Turner is a phenomenally good bass player as well. Easily in my top 3. this one is just class from beginning to end

Totally agree Ruzzle. Andy Powell's guitar playing was excellent and he was voted best guitarist in an old NME poll back in the day. I was lucky enough to have seen them a few times live. Good to see a fellow fan with good taste:50:

Glad to see reference to some of my favourites here - especially Gilmour and Alex Lifeson - but for me, solos are not so much about flashy technique as feel and musicality.

From that perspective, I submit this for your delectation - Martin Barre - from Jethro Tull:

Apparently the singer owns half of * Skye...
