I have seen him play enough to know that he is better than Welsh and from the way Starfelt has looked he is better than him also. If he does end up behind those playes then he has gone down since I watched him in The English Championship. I just don't see him playing back up to those two. Starfelt must have something as he has been called up for Sweden but it I must admit I am bemused why they have called him up because he has looked rotten.

Hes not even looked that rotten bar his first 2 games. Hyper bowl pish. Say it enough and people believe it and can't see for themselves.

  3. I never mentioned Starfelt though. I saw CCV in a few games, looked good I agree but we will have to see why he is like here, for me he starts before Starfelt not Welsh.

Your probably right imagine it would be a bit less then that. Lets hope come next summer has has played well enough that we are all wanting him bought permanently.

He was on loan to Bournemouth recently, some of their fans are saying we have got ourselves a very good defender. Sounds promising and good to know we have an option to buy.

    Agree with this.

There are better CB:s in Allsvenskan at the moment. I'd be surprised if he gets any gametime, Helander will most likely pair up with Lindelöf (Danielsson is suspended).

CCV is a step up in class. Got a good feeling about it.

Think we’ve got a solid player on our hands here and even better is the fact we don’t have to rely on Starfelt every game.

Very happy with this signing but I thought Starfelt had a pretty good game against the huns. Throw in Julien and Welsh...

    Team is building nicely.

Like any other loan signing, attitude can be more important than talent

I look forward to seeing him play

Glad to have him on board. I'd possibly start him ahead of Starfelt at the moment, but definitely not Welsh.

It's what was needed - not just having the coverage that has left us thin on the ground while Julien has been out, but competition for places should ensure whoever is starting has to keep a high standard or risk being dropped/rotated -which makes me wonder if that is because Starfelt has kend of felt as though after we brought him in there really wasnt any option to drop him, but now that's all changed. And thankfully Bitton further down the pecking order in regards to the CB role.

Unless Ange is considering Bitton as cover/contention for the DM role along with Soro/CalMac, which, with Christie gone could see CalMac be utilized a little further forward?

But regarding the CB stocks definitely think CCV will see this as a massive opportunity, as he has had loan spells before, but this year with us, with the chance for European football, with more spotlight on our games compared to where he has been on loan previously etc, and with places up for grabs for the USA ahead of the WC, think he will be looking to prove how good he really can be, whihc should benefit us greatly.

I dunno about that. I've a better feeling about him than Starfelt, for starters.

My gut tells me he is going to be the most physically dominant centre back we will have.
He looks a proper unit and has a solid base, isnt easily pushed about, from youtube highlight videos albeit.

I have based my opinion on watching all three players on multiple occassions.
