That bench on Sunday was bereft of options. Just a couple injuries to first team players at one time could leave us in real bother.

Anges reputation for developing youth looks like it might come in handy.

I feel like if we drop points in the next few games he will slaughter this transfer window.

If you was him now, would you consider chucking it?

He's been told he'll have the tools for the job and players will be signed.

But what he wasn't told is that basically your squad size will be smaller than ever before.

He's not being given a chance by our board.

If he manages to win the league this year with that squad he deserves a statue.

I don't think Ange will walk away from this. He will give it a red hot go. He might have to reconsider things at season's end, but it's still very early days. With the new signings announced, he has a semblance of a squad and a semblance of a chance. Let's see what he can brew up.

We are lucky to have him, or any manager of any sort of decent reputation for that matter. Investment in the playing squad in relative terms is non existent this window.

The board rely on the fame of the club to attract talent like him, and you can’t blame him for taking the job on. Unfortunately for Ange he is the newest victim of years of mismanagement of the playing squad and this transition period is going to be a tough one.

Guess we have to ask are we stronger than hun after that transfare window?Imo yes we are.

They are a more settled squad (one reason why they beat us)but i believe we have more talent and in time we will get stronger and more dominant.

Yes it was a poor transfare window but i believe we have enough within us to win the league. Its all down to the manager and how he uses the players at his disposal, playing Kyogo on the wing is not what we want to see so lets hope that the first issue he addresses.

I'd be interested to know what the politics were surrounding Eddie's and Christie's departures. If they'd left a month earlier for the same money, would more money have been spent on players coming in?

If yes (doubtful, I know), then who delayed it, and why?

I think that's the likely scenario. He is a very proud and ambitious man. He also won't allow others to ruin his career ambitions to coach at the highest league level.

Somehow I doubt he left the Dutch league as top scorer to sit on the bench in the SPL.

Hopefully he's too good to be on the bench but he still has a lot to prove. 26 and he's had one prolific season in his career, in a league that has previous for duff players finishing as top scorer.

Kyogo should be our first choice striker. I don't mind him starting out wide against the usual dross in the league, but against better opposition he needs to play through the middle.

Ange himself said we needed players in the door, and this was before Eddie and Christie were punted.

I don't see how he can be happy with the current state of affairs.

The other option is to play both Kyogo and Giakoumakas in a 442. Having an extra midfielder would also help the lightweight defense and the width could come from the two overlapping fullbacks bombing forward.
