Just this this guy scored the winning penalty in the MLS All-Stars v Liga MX All-Stars game. Hadn't heard of him before but he's just 18 and on the verge of being called up to the USMNT.

Looks a real talent. 6'1 striker with a bit of everything.

 

This goalie looks the business. Could leapfrog Barkas and Bain as backup to Hart on this showing:

I agree but we're calling out for a left winger or two more than another central midfielder.

I'd rather we'd plug that gap next than splash out on a center mid.

 

Njegos Petrovic would be a decent shout for me to fill that role, a great all round CM with that bit of aggression and energy as well as being 6 ft tall.

I feel we could do with one at CB too (Simon Deli) would be my pick as a left sided centre back.

Also if Edouard goes I would move for Ercan Kara as a mobile big CF who is a strong finisher and good in the air. I think that would add some serious strength to our spine but also the three of them are all capable footballers.

Lovric should also be a priority signing now for left wing as we are very short there.

You could probably buy the 4 of them for around £11-12m.

 

I'd probably have the top three tied in first place but left wing is the only position that we don't have a natural player for. I'm really concerned about that.

I seriously hope we get a left back, center back and left winger before the window shuts.

 

It was reported that Red Star were under pressure to sell a player or two due to the COVID impact and them not making the CL groups. Petrovic, Babic and a couple of others were mentioned as players that could go. He’s hardly had any game time this season.

It’s also another reason for suggestion Deli at CB Brugge seem to want him of their wage bill and would possibly not even want a fee to take him or a £1m tops.

Kara is in the last year of his deal, even if Eddie stayed I would target him as a bosman in January.

Lovric speaks for himself and if we are looking for a cheap deal for a quality left back bring in Bjorkan or sign him on a precontract.

 

Nobody wants a striker who’s scoring goals but we want one who’s not?

Another potential CM option on a free would be Oriol Busquets if budgets are tight. He is very comfortable on the ball, reads the game well which allows him to make interceptions, not the quickest but good stamina, will be familiar with playing a press having come through at Barca and has a good passing range. Still only 22 but could be an option that helps free McGregor in game’s to play further forward or help him out in front of our defence. Is 6 ft as well so has a bit of height on his side in terms of physical presence whilst being a good footballer.

I felt watching that game last night Koopmeiners (obviously a class above what we can afford) really showed how to utilise accurate long range passing to get the most out of quick attackers in your team and feel that type of player could add a lot to our current set up.

 

This is the type of signings we need to get in.
