    Aye, me too.

I want 150 Japanese imports in the January window.

If we are looking for another striker in a similar price bracket to Giakoumakis.

The first is Yuma Suzuki who is at STVV in Belgium, he is 6ft, and had a decent scoring season last year with 17 in 33 in a pretty poor team. He has a good work rate, quick and good with his head. He is expected to leave as has been left out so far this session with Hertha Berlin, Ligue 1 clubs and Gent again being linked to him earlier in the summer. Although he doesn’t have international caps he should get a work permit from being a regular in a club playing in a good Euro league.

The second is more risky but could have a big upside, 23 year old Dembo Darboe, is a Gambian centre forward currently playing in Belarus where he is scoring close to a goal a game and also creating a number of others. He done similar in North Macedonia last year. My first thought when seeing his stats was another Bayo but he certainly doesn’t look like that. Darboe is a good dribbler, is strong in his hold up and link play and also very quick and mobile as he is used to playing as the central striker in a three man attack. He would be a risk but likely to cost no more than £1.5m. The video below and article highlights his style of play and stats. Work permit could be an issue here though.

He’s off to Southampton apparently. Would have been a decent signing.

If we sell Christie, maybe. Right now, I'd like a left back.

I never take anything to do with potential transfers or rumours etc, but I heard the day that Aaron Mooy has joined a gym in Bearsden the day. My big mate does know a lot of folk but * knows how true it is. Just letting yous know.

Would fit in with the 'versatile midfielder' that Postecoglou wants.

Great rumour btw, belongs in the non media thread, a real classic.

His wife has been living in Bearsden while he was in China. Can't remember if it was on here I saw it but someone posted that he doesn't want to sign for us because he doesn't want the hassle

Ah so could well be nothing to do with us signing him. Time will tell I suppose.

    I’m a yes for Mooy.

But I’ve got to ask, why would a Celtic footballer join a gym? Surely they use the club facilities and have no reason to join a local gym?

I’d take him in a heartbeat, but I’d guess if he’s joining a public gym then he’s not on the verge of signing anywhere. If he was even in talks with us, I’d have thought he’d be given use of our training facilities (especially with his connection to Ange).

Mooy was in the squad for Shanghai port on the 15th of August as an unused sub. This was his first time being named in the squad after the spell when he was over here following his brothers death.

So unless he has come back to Scotland again (which would he not have to quarantine?) in the last week you would have to assume he’s staying in China.

For a left sided Centre back, Scott Kennedy at Jahn Regensburg would be worth a look. He’s a good age at 24, is handy in the air in both boxes at 6’3, has a decent turn off pace, and has played DCM and full back in the past as well so is used to having to be mobile.

Has recently got caps for Canada. Seems like a strong character having left home young to chase a football career in Europe and has worked his way up through the lower leagues in Germany and Austria.

Wouldn’t imagine he would cost much more than £1m, has a season under his belt at Bundesliga 2 level which is not a bad league.

If Giakoumakis isn’t coming Ercan Kara, from Rapid Vienna would be a good option. He’s a big guy about 6’4ish, good in the air, mobile but predominantly works In and around the box and has scored goals both in and out the box and is at a similar age to our other targets, with a couple of good seasons behind him.

His deal is up at the end of the season so wouldn’t cost much more than what we are talking about for Giakoumakis. Also their manager was gutted to lose Boli at the time, could we include him as part of the deal, even if we have to top up his wage next season it would still make some use of him?
