    It's that very reason

Also,I agree that Michael Davitt should have a statue at Celtic Park

I really hate the nickname CalMac. Cringe almightily every time. If it weren’t for the link with the ferry company, it wouldn’t be as bad, but it is…

Find it as off-putting as if we’d called Scott McDonald ‘Mickey D’ after the fecking burger chain…

That said, folk calling him Skippy annoyed me too.

Leigh Griffiths is up there with the best strikers we've had since Henrik

MON's squad was quite poor. Good starting XI and one or two useful players who could come on, but overall we were hampered by the fact that there were maybe 14 or 15 Celtic standard players at any one time.

As great as the past decade's been, a best Celtic XI of players from the 90s would comfortably beat a best Celtic XI from the 2010s.

For all Lennon was awful last season and has royally * us all off since then, he's shown he can be a good manager. Some of the football we played in his first season especially was absolutely first class. There was something more going on behind the scenes last season.

Adam Matthews was a better RB than Lustig and we should have stuck with him.

Klimala and Bayo would be more useful to Ange than Ajeti and Griffiths.

Klimala had good pace and work-rate and made good runs and would likely have done well with Kyogo and Abada with him and Bayo was quality in the air and quite athletic also and would have offered us someone to throw on to get crosses into.

I’ve actually had that thought about Klimala myself, the game tends to get stretched towards the end while we’ve tired and he’d have been good to have brought on at that point. However, not enough for me to regret him being sold.

Outside of the starting XI, plus a couple of subs. Wing back for instance, Thommo and Agathe were quality. Our back ups there were Guppy and Sylla who weren't good enough. We didn't really have any decent CBs backing up Balde, Mjallby and Valgaeren, which told in MONs final season once Mjallby had left.

I think we'll only beat the huns by 2 clear goals

You're not wrong. The majority of the seasons under MON you could predict at least 10 out of the 11 starters every week. Team announcements every game would be less exciting than they are now.

Saying all that, the first 11 was absolutely tremendous and would beat every Celtic team that has come after it.

His squad was fairly * to be fair. He relied on a core of about 14 players. After that it was horrendous. Relying on players like Fernandez, Sylla etc. Our 22 was not very good.

    Our 14 was exceptional though.

Got to agree with most of this. Would be good to see a starting xi from the 90’s v one from the past decade. The 90’s one would have guys like Mcstay, Larsson, Lubo, van hoijdonk etc. Guys that blow majority of the players since out the water.

    That would be some game.

Collins for Thom though, for a start.

Aye definitely would be, the 90’s is more sheer off the cuff genius but the physicality pace and power of the 2010’s would be hard to play against. Reiper and Mjallby at the back aren’t exactly shrinking violets but.

If I done the benches 90’s would easily win though, Collins, Elliot, Cadete, Pierre etc seals it.

    Rodgers against Tommy we’ll go

    Whoops. Thought he said 00s.

    Carry on.

Thinking about that it wouldn’t even make any sense with the crossover.

    I’ll bow out disgracefully

Aye, think Larsson would be counted in the 2000’s one. That’s when I remember him most anyway. First guy you think of when you think of O’Neill
