Hopefully the big man can get some more players in from the J League. I've been watching a few games now, mainly just out of curiosity, and there are definitely a few players who look the part. The Japanese players all seem to have the same kind of enthusiasm and commitment as our own Kyogo. Some of the teams also have a few half decent foreign imports however, their numbers are restricted due to new regulations to secure game time for Japanese players. The commentary on the games is something else though

 

Decent enough start but the team is playing like an Ange team. I still remember our 2014 World Cup game against the Netherlands which was both teams trading punches back and forth, they won 3-2 because they had Van Persie and Robben ect but even in defeat it was match well received because the Netherlands were made to work. We also had a tough game against Chile in that group but were easily beaten by Spain.

Ange has no interest in being intimidated by the opposition and when he goes the shake Gerrards hand he wont give a F about the higher status that Gerrard enjoys having been one of Liverpool's greatest ever players.

Even though its away & Rangers by all accounts are tipped to be stronger, Ange wont go looking for a tactical draw & I reckon Celtic can win, especially given Rangers aura has been busted. Before the season it was assumed Rangers would be too strong but the betting markets are no longer offering crazy odds for Celtic winning the league.

Ange will out do Gerrard in the long run. He is a smarter person & better communicator. A manager by trade, not a former player who manages like Gerrard. See his * mate Lampard get sacked at Chelsea and Chelsea win the CL that very year. Ole another former player under pressure, likewise Arteta at Arsenal. Neville at Valencia. These former high profile players fast tracked to high profile managerial jobs are waiting to be deflated.

Gerrard was lucky last year as he had no one to pull his pants down as Celtic were in disarray. He was never put under pressure. But Ange will put him under pressure this year and deflate him.

Ange is a former player though. Successful as well. In Aus granted but still successful.

Huns are getting pumped next week and the only reason I’m confident is I’ve watched us recently and only the very top teams will live with us in this form.

I’ve watched enough football to know when I see genuine dynamic football. They won’t be able to live with us.
