Even if we fail to get through I think we could do well in the Europa Conference which I would still enjoy

I love how the team has been playing but this is the perfect test for me to judge them on. Big problem for our team over the years is going away in Europe (even with leads) and throwing it away. If this team stays brave and true to Angeball then we should beat this mob next week in a similar style. Being brave and no backwards steps was Anges words and they're so true. I'm more optimistic about Celtic than I have been for a number of years!

Were also capable of conceding 3 until Anthony rambo took to the field.

Last night was really special. The supporters in the stadium were so happy. First game back in 2 years. Singing on the train, the Japanese flags waving for the new hero. There wasn't much grumbling just a real buzz around the place. Celtic are playing good football.

Plenty of stats about their Europa league form being thrown about in the group chat this morning. Unbeaten at home in 11 or 12 games? Includes Man Utd and Napoli I’m told

Still a big ask to get through but we’ve given ourselves a chance

2 of the most pleasing moments last night for me where

    1. how together the team looked just before going into the huddle, not sure what the difference was but you could just tell.
    2. Ralston telling his team mates what to do at defensive set plays. Needed someone with a voice and ability to communicate at the back for a while.

Yep it's still only half time but we are in a decent position and I think we will score. If we score they have to get 4 to win. These are no mugs and I'd expect an onslaught from the start..

I was dubious to signing Hart but he is turning out to be a great bit of buisness. (Slice of humble pie being eaten). His saves last night were one thing but his experience last night was vital. I don't know if Hart had told Ange or the other way round but with 5 to go plus stoppage Hart started playing it long instead building it up from the back. He obviously felt tired legs couldn't keep playing it from the back without mistakes. Good leadership shown, should be vice captain.

Last night was weird. Normally we have some awful luck in Europe. Can’t help feeling that shot Hart saved onto the post goes in past years.

It just feels like things are going our way for once and I think you make your own luck playing this way.

Yep they are strong at home.

By no means done but even a 1-0 defeat would see us through. I am confident we can score though as they need to go for it...cliche but keep it tight for the first 15-30 mins and grow into the game.

Probably came from Ange. There was a stoppage in play later in the game and Ange was talking to Hart by the sideline so maybe that was what he was telling him at the time.

Think last night typified where we are at this early point in the season. The attacking play was on full display and again was a joy to watch. Rogic really is back to his very best and for me was man of the match. We easily could have scored more then the 2. However on the other end we really got cut open in the early portions of each half and but for that amazing Hart save early on and bad finishing they score 1 or 2. Think overall we were full value for the win against a very decent side and the 2 goal lead for sure gives us a decent chance of going through now. Lots to do in the second leg yet and with the problems we clearly still have defensively this is far from been done but we have given ourselves a decent chance. Should give the team another confidence boost and real belief I would think as that was a very decent side we beat last night.

I'm not certain but it looked at the time like he went to Ange, rather than Ange calling him over, so I thought it was his idea to relieve the pressure the defence were under at that point. Either way it was a good call, and if it was Hart that instigated it that actually pleases me more from an Ange perspective as I had been worried when he came in he was going to be too rigid in sticking to his style, but that would show he isn't above being flexible when required, and also he's willing to take sound advice whatever the source.

As you say either way it was a good decision. I have to say though in general there is no question that Hart has a presence and genuine leadership qualities about him that are already having a big positive impact on the team not just his form in goal. Really happy with what he has done so far and if he can build on this good start he could turn out to be a great signing.
