Seeing us give away easy goals against Jablonec and Hearts doesnt fill me with confidence tbh. The sloppy passing in our own third will be punished against decent teams.

If Koopermeiners doesn't start then there's absolutely no reason for us to go to the Netherlands with a 2 goal advantage, ideally we'd have a new LB signed for this but I know that's near impossible now.

The drop off in our intensity and focus is just too much atm. Alot of our players also look dead on their feet around the 70 min mark. Hopefully as the games go on this is something that we can wipe out from our play down the line. But given that Starfelt still looks suspect, Welsh is still a bit raw and neither Ralston or Taylor are at a European level, I'd say unless Hart has the game if his life, it's going to take a miracle to keep them out.

They've lost 35m worth of talent, yes. But theyre still a well drilled side, level or levels above Mitjiland.

It's the conference for us this year I'm afraid. But I'm not too arsed. I'm willing to give the new manager time to build and time to settle. No Europa League is hardly the end of the world. For me at least anyway.

Alkmaar lost last night and going by their fans on their fan forum they are pretty * right now.

 

I think we can do them, we have improved since midtjyland now so saying that they are a step up from them means little really. They are a step up from Jablonec sure but Alkmaar will come to us after playing one game of competitive football, which they lost.

They've had a decent start during preseason but their first league they lose.

Should be a challenge but we should be packing a win to come with us when we play the second fixture against in Netherlands.

It's definitely important that we qualify for the EL groups, but part of me wants us to have a run in the Conference League... I know, I know. Just think we'd go far in it. Maybe we'll finish 3rd in our EL group and win the Conference League

Anyway, going for 3-1 to the good guys in this one.

 

I still don't see what forrest does for this team, he flashes in and out of games, his isn't consistent or has skills to beat a player other than using his pace - for me he would not be a starter in the team sheet, but the bigger problem which we all can agree is our leaky defence - I love the football we play it is the best in the last 2/3 seasons esp the attacking side, kyogo's movement is simply exceptional as the season moves forward he will gain more and more interest, I think players from asia are untapped and there is plenty more kyogo's over there let us use the expertise of ange.

4 goals conceded against hearts is a worry, esp the goals conceded, starfelt looks nervy, lacks pace and we really need this area sorted pronto esp with an away game to the darkside coming - morelos, kent, roofe, hagi will all use their play acting in a 1v1 with him.

In regards this game, is their striker suspended?

I see they got beat at the weekend but rested a lot of players - they aren't PSV or Ajax we cant be scared I think we will score we just need to keep it tight at the back, no silly free kicks or corners and men on the post.

Hopefully a 2-0 would be magic.

Mc carthy only had 15 mins but he looked a little out of sorts, I seen he tried a holywood cross pass which failed - hopefully he can get up to speed soon good to get mins under his belt.

Hopefully we get Itakura and a few full backs in asap.
