Done a lot of talking and was composed on the ball..

Like how he receives it and will play it with his left often, despite being right footed..

Looks like he needs a bit of match sharpness, which is to be expected I suppose.

Looks like he’ll be a tidy player. Certain games we can have him sit with McGregor and Turnbull/Rogic in front attacking

Obviously needs a few games to get up to speed but you can see him organizing the players round him but one thing I did notice when he was running back he looked a slow runner... again that could just be him needing to get more games to get match fit.

Got a bad feeling that he won’t fit into Ange’s style of play….hope I’m wrong but looks like he needs to do a lot of work on both his fitness and that mad as * accent.

If Rogic Turnbull and McGregor keep this form then he'll struggle to break in. Although Rogic never keeps it up too long so we'll see

I think in Europe having him and McGregor next to each other in midfield will be key, brings a lot of experience and calmness.

I agree mate, they 3 are playing brilliant. Can see him playing a sitting midfielder in Europe though, and if he does, it should be McCarthy, imo.

Break up opposition attacks and pass it to a team mate.

He’ll do just fine in Ange’s team IMO. Not everyone in the starting 11 needs Kyogo’s level of high energy press!

Rogić can't play that many times in a row anyway.

Think McGregor will occupy that position long-term, based on how capable he is at receiving the ball deep, especially on the half turn. Ideal DM for Ange's system. McCarthy backup for the foreseeable future, I think.

I think most home games Ange will have McGregor as the sitter and two attacking mids infront of him.

Probably. McGregor is terrible at tackling though and gives away a lot of fouls.
He is great at taking the ball from deep and starting attacks.

McGregor is just too good a player, he can put a good job in holding, attacking or left of midfield. I like him further up the pitch, but can appreciate how good he is at receiving the ball from deep.
