I'm lost due to your slavering. There's 1 person in youth currently that could maybe come in in either of the full back slots. And that would be a massive risk to a very vulnerable area of the team. We need quality. Not a hope and punt on youth. Yes there's other promising youths there, not at the FB areas.

When you look at our midfield trio, 2 goal cushion, you have to then get Rogic and Turnbull off 10 minute's or do earlier. You could visibly see Rogic was knackered, started spraying long diagonals from our box straight to diet player's..

Then when the game was effectively won, he decided to make the other 2 subs with a minute left..

Can't overlook too much but with the game gone, you then should be looking towards AZ..

Just because someone isn’t ready for the first team doesn’t mean there isn’t talent there.


No one has said we don’t need to sign fullbacks so I don’t really get what you’re trying to argue.

 

I totally agree in principle with what you’re saying and there have been a few times already this season where I’ve felt Ange is too slow to make changes. However, I do think today there is probably an element of trying to get Rogic and Turnbull’s fitness levels up. Will give him the benefit of the doubt today.

There's talent there. But as talented as Montgomery is perceived, he is deemed not as on a level as Taylor. So not so much a gem as mentioned originally.

EDIT: yes, Taylor has years on Montgomery, but a gem to me is a Tierney.
