He's just far too slow unfortunately, he will be caught out so many times when he plays against anyone with the slightest bit of pace.

 

Played well, seems to be a steady improvement lately. Must say, while his byline crossing is poor, his infield passing is really good.

 

Massive weaklink.

Only times we’ve actually looked exposed is teams targeting him in behind.

He’s so slow it’s painful.

 

He’s not slow ffs.

His crossing is appalling, and his decision making at times is completely lacking, but he’s not slow…

 

When things are going well for us some of his passing is good enough to mask the other deficiencies in his game.

With that said, defensively he gets brutalised by any winger who has a bit of pace and power and his crossing leaves a lot to be desired. We know he cannot beat a man either.

He definitely benefits from having Ange in this new system but I am really worried that we don't seem to be looking to improve on him.

 

He’s killing us in too many of these games. Kills so many attacks with * crosses/passes, and he’s slow and weak defensively.

Not signing a starting left back in the next couple of weeks would be criminal.

He's unbelievably slow

 

I don't think he's as bad as some say. I think he's solid but nothing more. The change in performance last season when Laxhalt came in and was awful was clear. I'd like an upgrade but CB is the issue at the moment

 

Naw he isnae

He’s certainly no rapid but he can get in behind a full back while attacking.

He’s slow sometimes at releasing the ball.

 

If he gets injured we’ve no cover. We really need more fullbacks.

 

He's the slowest fullback I've ever seen, especially at Celtic..

I'd leave him for dead after a curry and 15 pints

I've never known a fullback to get done with 15 yard head-starts like him..

 

Taylor is not a bad player but we need another left back.

 

His lack of pace is a bigger than anything else in his game.


He canny run to save himself.

 

He’s definitely slow for a full back. He’ll never knock it past a player and beat him because he doesn’t have the skill or pace to do it.

He’s the start of a * of a lot with his play in centre midfield as well though, like a real lot. It’s a frustrating weird one.

 

Aye. He’s decent in the middle third. Just average to pish in the other two.

It’s a major part of how we’re playing just now though, like a key major part of it. I can’t see him being dropped or replaced, he’s doing exactly what the manager wants.
