Agreed. I think the Oz boys realise that the posts they make have, directly or indirectly, relevence because Ange is a product of Australian football. Who Ange is now as a person , coach and manager has been shaped by his footballing environment from the age of 8 at South Melbourne in Victoria and more so because of the connection he had with his father through football. He started at that age with the club, stayed with them, played in the juniors, represented Victoria and Australia at junior level, played reserve football and then senior football. Then became captain and later coach. Won titles with them. Won Oceania with them, coached them in Brazil in the world Club Cup in 1999 playing Vasco Da Gama, Man utd and Nexaca of Mexico. All this with Sth Melbourne and then taking charge of the national teams at under 23s etc. All this at a relatively young age . You know the rest if you have read up on him.His whole life has been shaped by football in Australia and his undoubted love of the game.

Almost seems like a culture clash too. Folk misinterpreting or misreading the mood. Dare say we will all get along eventually.

I would be over the moon if Ange takes Celtic all the way to the Europa final and wins it ! Each game the team keeps on improving and players are being slotted in to roles that suit their natural game. Ralston is the toughest one out there at present, very strong in the hips and upper legs and near impossible to get him off the ball in a tackle.

Yeah, there's that too, some for sure we will get on with, others I'm not so confident, then again, there's always going to be differences of opinion....the fact this thread is Ange( Celtic Manager) thread seems to taken as a go ahead to discuss Australian football, it's positives, it's negatives and all things Australian in between.

Bringing up info or stats from one of the clubs he managed, things he has done in Australia etc would be fine, national level management fine if it's management style etc but jeez...it's full of A League chat.....none of us has any interest in the A League or if we have members that do want to know more about it they can ask about it in World Football this is Celtic Chat and some need to keep that in mind.

    Rant over!

That wasn't directed at you in any way @Jeannie960

It's developing well, but guys like Ralston really aren't the future here. He's playing out his skin for Ange and rightly so after buying in to the new man. But I would be extremely surprised if he keeps this up and improves any further.
He will get found out in bigger games that we will play.

Hearts tomorrow is an interesting game again, a couple weeks on from the opening game and time to see if we have developed or not. Next week against Aklmaar and then on to the huns will tell us everything we need to know about where Ange has got this squad. Big games, big questions.

    It’s fine wee children, it’s 2:50am in Aussie-land.

At this point I’d quite happily have Ange Postecoglou sacked, just so these * mental Aussie * get to * :56::56::56:

Right big guy, where's these signings you said were coming in?! The Rambo Ralston effect won't last that long.
