Seemingly they've lost a few key players over the summer.

Myron Boadu (ST) to Monaco, Calvin Stengs (RW) to Nice, and Marco Bizot (GK) to Stade Brest.

I hung around after the game for the team’s lap and the reception Ange got when he came over towards 111 was un * real man. We love you Ange x

The last couple of games has definitely brought the excitement levels back and even though the standard of opposition hasnt been great the way in which we dismantled them has been .
The tempo/speed/workrate/desire backed by the passion of the fans and a manager who has a vision has got us all desperate for the next game and more of the same .
If after the next 3 weeks things keep progressing and results have continued to be positive then we really are in business , taking care of the diets/alkmaar/huns is a big ask at this stage of Anges tenure but if the board back him with more talent he can do it !!

You know Ange will have a plan for Alkmaar.

They will be the best team we've played this season but, how much have we improved since Midtjylland? I reckon we'd thrash them now and AZ will fear the Celtic momentum.

Hoping to take a two goal lead over there.

We wouldn't have conceded that free kick for a start. I think we would have beat Midtjyland in both legs to be honest.

He put Bitton on and put him on in the position any decent manager would...his natural one.. giving our Captain a breather.

That's great management when you think about the amount of games Cal Mac has played and is about to play.

Anyone imagine our previous clown thinking along those lines !

I only wish he was brought to the club sooner and we were further on with the progression.

Ange oozes class in his conduct and the way he's getting us play.

Imagine Ange came in the season after Rodgers.

    What could have been..

It’s absolutely mental that for years people defended Lennon and his ability as a football manager and coach.

Night and day. 2 months in and we are a joy to watch already.

Your point, is probably a valid one but if we went from one of the biggest names in our management history in BR to Angie, the backlash would have been huge. Whilst some didn't like the NL appointment at the time and some did, most Celtic fans felt a sense of loyalty to Lennon that meant he would be given benefit of the doubt at the very least.

Fairplay though, even at these early stages I think we can see some drastic progress. I think AZ might have come to early for us but I do feel my pessimism turning to optimism. It's clear Ange knows what he is doing. Hope the board continue to back him

    It would never have happened.

I prefer, at this point, to take Dom at his word. He said he'd tracked Ange for years and that is why Ange is at the club. Howe fell through and Dom said: well there's this chap at Yokohama that's got destiny written all over him. Should we gie um a bell?

Lawwell wouldn't have known Ange existed and if he did would have scorned him like Sunderland did (by all accounts). How their fans must be gnashing and wailing now...

A lot of folk have been saying we need a DoF in. I'm not convinced we need one. When you have a guy with the personality and drive and vision Postecoglu appears to have I think having a DoF can have the potential for unnecessary conflict. I think he's a Stein, Ferguson, Jim MacLean type of manager - he wants complete control of the football side of the club and I think he should be given it.
Have a good head of recruitment to find the players Postecoglu needs - he then says yes or no to them then McKay goes and tries to get them.
Use a DoF's wages to pay a couple of good players.

Having said all this I suppose if when they decide on the changes to the structure at the club Ange thinks a DoF is needed then fair enough but I think it should be his call.

Ive always thought a DoF is just a job for the boys kind of thing. Nothing wrong with old school ways of running clubs if people can do their jobs right and have enough support/staff around them. This is my only gripe atm with Celtic, the man needs his own people to help him out.
