Ange doesn't do defenders. He would have a team full of attacking midfielders and strikers in.

Score more than the opposition, who needs a defence lol

And that's without mentioning Stefan Dennis and Craig McLachlan.

I said it so often when celtic were looking for a new manager that just getting in someone who actually does analysis of previous games and upcoming opponents, who actually sets up players with a designated roll and purpose in the 11. That would be half the battle. This seemed to be overlooked and the actual detrimental effect Lennon has had in effectively "coaching" the good out of our star performers has now been seriously shown up in a matter of weeks of competitive football.

The chatter about the size of the rebuild needed I have always felt, was massively overblown I said that if we are clever and sign about 4 players within defence for the 11 asap (which I said was the upmost priority abive all other positions) we could go and win the league with the existing squad.

Ange/celtic has done better than that and brought in Kyogo, Abada, Hart, McCarthy, Starfelt, Shaw, Osaze, Lawal, three of which will likely see little time in the 11 at all this season but do seem promising talents. But of course no one would argue that RB and LB still need urgent attention so we can seriously kick on and take this to another level.

The other variables have also been touched on, Huns aren't going unbeaten two years in a row, they won't be that strong again, fans are coming back, the pressure that comes with that, the pressure to achieve CL football for them is... Well was, too much for them and negatively effects their season, far more than it does for us when we failed against the Danes.

If Ange can keep up this level of intensity from the players this season the state of Scotlands media will be hilarious to watch as this random * from Aus has just shown up the * of football in Slippy G.

Ange is gonna tear this league a new one.

We aren't far off from having a team (first 11 at least) capable of winning the league. No doubt Ange's gung-ho approach will lead to a few freak defeats but if Sunday was a preview of things to come then 2 fullbacks, CB and another LW/ST should see us looking good until January.

Was about to post this, worded slightly differently but the same point!!
I'm still reserving judgement on Ange, but these * are dodgy, no doubt.
You've appointed him, now back him. Go for the jugular, they're here for the taking.

Off topic but not sure where else to post this. For the Aussies here, how are you watching the games. I have Kayo which has Bein sport and the SPFL, however for some reason didn’t televise the Dundee game. I canned my Celtic TV pass because I watched the Hearts game on Kayo and thought sweet, I’ll get it all here. Plus the CTV coverage in preseason and for the CL was atrocious. But now for Kayo to not televise the Dundee match, or any of the European games, I’m reevaluating. Particularly in light of the upcoming derby.

Massive few weeks coming in the transfer window.

Get it right and we have a real chance of bouncing back immediately.

I live in England, but even so, mostly have to rely on streams. I'd pay for Celtic TV, but don't think competitive games are broadcast if you live in the UK.

We always could. Tonight helps but no way should anyone be expecting anything less from a Celtic manager.

Id invest in a IPTV Amazon stick, not sure if it’s a thing is Australia but if you can find someone to do it for you it’ll pay itself back tenfold. Get them to put Scottish club football on it, if the footballs * you can flick it over to the * channels and have a teary lube *.

Maybe get a VPN that will show you being in UK. I do that for Souths and Hawthorn games from back home, as well as for stuff that I get from America & Canada etc.

    1. Japanese players DON'T actually leave the first chance they get. Many are happy to play in a quality league, in a culture they know and love. Its just the way are. Yasuhito Endo was at his peak a player that could have played in any league in the world but chose stay in Japan.

    2. Because its a stepping stone into Europe and he wants to challenge himself at the top level. As the man himself has repeatedly said, Australian coaches and players are grossly under-valued. So when an opportunity does come from Europe, you take it, prove yourself, and move on. If the results go his way at Celtic, Postecoglou will have an eye to bigger things, and it won't be to go to some some second tier Euro League.

I think sometimes the worst enemies of Australian football are the local Euro-snobs. The A-League is * but a team fully of current and past A-League players were beaten by a deflected own goal against the World Champions boasting names like Pogba, Griezman, Mbape, Kante, Varan, Loris, Dembele at the 2018 WC....

@Celtsdownunder. As for Kyogo do you seriously think he would be in Europe this season if Postecoglou didn't pick him?

Eurosnobs, hate them. By all means follow your team, from wherever they are but follow your local team, no matter the quality, there's nothing better than being AT a football match.
This Eurosnobs who's grandparents came from (insert European country) but the kids follow their euro club, follow their grandparents national team (sure follow both) and won't even look at Australian football or NT.

Ange has always said these mentalities are what kills football in Australia.
