Make a few more quality signings and we’ll win the league this season. Big Ange has brought the thunder back.

Haven't see the game but by some accounts there was more than a bit of City Football Group in the performance. If so makes sense-CFG have part ownership of Yokohama, and it was through Melbourne City-fully owned by CFG and current A-League Champions- that he found his way to Yokohama, and through- some other City link with Celtic- to Celtic.

The obvious question on everyone's mind must therefore be is Pep the Spanish Ange or is Ange the Aussie Pep?

Point of order, Ange was at Melbourne Victory who aren’t part of the City Group.

    * City football group. An organisation trying to monopolise world football headed up by the most vile club in Europe. ( correction, 2nd most vile club)

This is sadly true (sad because I, too, am Australian). "They" don't seem to understand how obtuse they sound.

"I can guarantee you that what he'll do next ..."
No, you can't guarantee anything, you're not Ange.

"Ange will now be thinking that ..."
STFU, watching him on TV and reading articles does not give you * telepathy.

"I told you this would happen! This is what Ange *always* does ..."
Stop, enough with the bullshit. He has adopted various tactics and methods throughout his career.

Etcetera etcetera. Please chill. He's a great manager but he makes mistakes, too. I thought Australians hated tall poppies. Enough with the hagiographies.

Haven't posted much lately so a quick preface before asking this... Delighted with yesterday's performance. We look very dangerous in the final third. With a few quality defensive signings, we are in with a great shout of winning the league this year.

Now, the 'negative' question. I'm not a tactician by any stretch of the imagination. Slightly worried about Ange's set-up against the huns and in Europe (the FB roles specifically). Hoping he will adapt the set-up for these games. Anyone in the know feel like putting my mind at ease?

No:40: we WILL get way ahead of ourselves thank you very much. We will completely ignore the fact that Dundee are pure dross and that every manager in our history (including John barnes) has racked up results and performances of a similar standard to similar dross.
We will ready the champagne in anticipation of the inevitable Quadruple that is coming our way.

And when this does come to pass we will all proclaim, " We are sooo sooo sorry". How dare we question an unknown quantity and his ability to manage our club, and not simply take the word of some random Internet fanboys.:50:

That why Podolski stated that its about 3rd German division level? I agree its attractive football they play there. But by no means it would be in the top 10 lgs in the world.

Only 6 leagues in Europe are better than j-league.
    Right you are.
Epl, ligue1, la liga, serie a, bundesliga, erevidivise, English championship, portugues prima, Turkish league.... All have something to say about that

Before we even talk about the other respectable leagues that would give the j-league a run for their money

As I stated, I know where we stand in the world of football.
As for AFL, talk to half the states in Australia and they don't know what it is, they follow league, then all the toffs are union.

I'd like to hope I'm not so biased but I fear from the last back and forth I'll be lumped in that group.

Enough with the dog whistling to anti-Oz prejudice.

Anyone who has followed Ange's career knows that one of his articles of faith is to dispute the constant downgrading of Australian football. He is himself an exemplar of his own mission to show the world we are so much better (as players and managers) than the world wants to acknowledge.

    Just ask Argentina...and Spain...

    But not Egypt

I reckon we will have to go with the flow m8 and, as many others have said, it will be a bit of a helter skelter ride due to the system big Ange plays however, once the players adapt and once we get some suitable players in to fill the slots required then everything should be fine - I think

Yes I don't expect us to maintain Sunday's performance consistently until at least the second half of the season.

I'll be delighted to be proven wrong, but remember Kyogo hasn't even been in Glasgow for 2 weeks, Abada is 19, and we still have more players coming in.

Exciting times ahead. Everyone has now seen how Ange's team play when they're performing at almost how they should be, but as I said, I expect a few more bumps (not necessarily in terms of results, but in terms of performance) until the second half of the season.
