Given him a bit of grief for some decisions the last few games but I can't fault his selections today. Binned Bitton for Welsh, spot on. Got Christie in the side, spot on. Left Edouard on the bench again, correct decision and got an extra attacking mid in the team (Rogic for Soro) for a game that we could afford to be more expansive in, correct decision.

We will steam roll most teams domestically if we keep this up. Properly go for the jugular and stop showing them so much respect. My one worry today and I suspect it will be repeated for every game is the inverted fullbacks again. When we lose the ball and those fullback areas are vacated...teams are really going to prey on that. There was a couple of ropey occasions where a better pass would have had them clean through. Better teams, and not even significantly better ones will exploit it.

One silver lining about the lack of signings is Ange is pretty good at adding value to players. Some of the players that aren't good enough now will be in a season

I think we've all had those same feelings as you mate. Yes Japan and Australia are * leagues, especially Australia, in fact it might be the worst league in the world and yes my gran could win a trophy with the Australian national team but he is here now! we just have to get behind him! Even if he is Australian and hopefully he is more Greek than Australian but If you can and I know it's hard but if you can, let's get behind him mate.

    Ha!

    Let's add:

    • Doesn't know European football let alone Scottish football.
    • Doesn't know the transfer market and will bring in worthless players from the J-league and A-league.
    • Will get absolutely eaten alive by the media.

So the a-league is * (yes comparably, not worst in the world) but your gran can win a trophy with the Australian NT which is mostly made up of a-league players. So your gran is pep guardiola? What you said makes no sense. The a-league is 16 years old, the 4th rated pro league in the country, it is tough to do what it had and they players it's started to develop.

Anyway, on another note, Ange may be born in Greece, have a Greek name but he's more Aussie than most of us.

I was exaggerating when I said my gran but you get my point right..my uncle has ran a few teams so more likely he could stroll it with the Aussies. I don't know how you rate, whatever a pro-league is but I'll take your word for it. But c'mon I thought even the Aussies knew their league was Sunday league standard. You love the Aussie rules over there more than anything do u not. Football is more for Sheilas, no? As for him being 100% Aussie, I think despite that he'll still do ok.

We know its * thats why no * watches it.. Basketball is more watched on a national level in Australia atm than football is. Afl and Rugby League are the only 2 sports in Australia that really matter and cricket in Summer.

You realize you are getting trolled right?

Plus ange despised a-league players and rarely picked players from there thats why he still had a 57 yr old tim cahill leading the line instead a bloke scoring 20 goals in the a league..

    * Milligan the exception.

Yesterdays team selection was, for me, the first indication that Ange is a manager that is beginning to understand the Scottish game. To ditch Soro, a defensive midfielder, and go with an offensive midfield, at home against dross, was a brave and clever decision. How many times in the past, have we seen the like of Brown first name on teamsheet, against dross at CP and all we do was play that tippy tappy football. Yesterday, it was all about getting on the front foot.
A step in the right direction, still needs a few players in.

I wouldn't really know pal, you'd have to ask an actual Aussie.

When you consider the massive impact Ange has already has on the team, when is it the right time to lock him in for decent period?

Looks the players are responding to him and want to play for him - especially the new guys - so if we want to keep the good players long term, I'm guessing those players would be partly basing their decisions on whether Ange is gonna be there.

There's also the fact that IF Ange continues the development of Celtic and makes us a force again, he'll have suitors from elsewhere. I don't think he'll want to leave until his legend is carved deeply into rock, but if/when he does may as well get compensation for it.
