Seeing a striker attack the six yard box instead of standing on the penalty spot gives me the absolute horn.

 

They aren’t irrelevant, they are our rivals. He’s not gone and I still wouldn’t sing badly about him if he was. Utter hun behaviour actually.

 

Bona-fide pure baller!!! His movement, the way he peeled away off the defender with an out and in run to get onto Christies cross had me standing up clapping the tele!

All I can say about that performance is I hope it’s the same next game. He was brilliant scored 3 should have had 6, pressed from the front, his movement was exceptional and his link up play was great to watch as well.

Some of the simplest goals you’ll see, but things we’ve not been doing nearly well enough for a long time. Having a striker who attacks the penalty box, and one that does it so well, is beautiful to see.

Have to say it’s so infectious seeing the bloke as happy as he appeared to be, and taking to the game here like a duck to water. Can’t remember if I said it here or on another thread, but I would love to see the kind of camaraderie Italy built into their Euro 2020 squad adopted here.

Having guys in the starting 11 who set the tone in terms of work rate and teamwork will be a massive part of that.

Its the little things like that where his quality shines through, great game intelligence and sharp movement. On another day he gets that and is 1v1 with the keeper.
