A lot of the posts saying he is proven etc he can handle the pressure, not until you are here can we really see what you are made of, managing Yokohama doesn't compare.

There are lots of pressures in life and I am pretty * sure Postecoglou knows what to expect. As if he does not know that without results he will get the *.It is the football way.

We know it might take time, but to be honest, he must get results first over the system, most of us dont give a * about his system, we want results, a good manage should be able to adapt and balance it.

I am sure he does, but a lot of the initial posts here glossed over that fact and as mentioned were with Ange Tinted specs on.

I agree this is step up in pressure and following but that’s just what I mean I guess. We’ve watched him operate and deal with media and pressure situations in a range of teams and countries including national team qualifications in hostile environments etc and we KNOW what he’s about yet are essentially being told how he’ll react to this by people that didn’t know who he was 12 weeks ago.

So far from small club to bigger club and national team he IS proven, the pressure there might be one thing but don’t kid yourself the level of football is higher than he’s already experienced.

And just like I said, we are once again going around in circles and is it frustrating.

How do you adapt and balance the likes of Taylor and Turnbull etc etc?

The Celtic Squad we had for the Danes and Hearts were pish and the top A-league clubs would compete with that Celtic team, and the A-league is * terrible - and I'm not exaggerating.

The top half of the J-league would have also beaten Celtic with that squad.

Demanding results with a subpar squad with a new manager in the door after only a few weeks is ridiculous. The Celtic team of last week (this week is better but needs time to gel!) was a mid-level Greek Super League team at best. Having a subpar team but demanding to win most games isn't going to happen - not at Celtic or any other part of the world except the occasional freak moments like Greece EURO 2004.

Note the tactics they used. I'd love Ange to adapt at least a lower D-line, and less frantic pressing.

This may sound astounding to you but there is actually immense pressure coaching the Australian national team. The football supporters here have quite a high football IQ and expect us to play a certain way. Then let’s not talk about the msm.

No doubt. But the pressure is incomparable to Glasgow, especially when the MSM is mostly against one of the two clubs, which arguably could be worse than Australia where the entire sport is discriminated against.

I am sure it has its pressures, but if the pressure is because you all have footballing IQ so high that you want the team to play a certain way, then sounds a bit stupid, results matter first not how you play, it’s nice to have both, but first and foremost win.

Biggest tactical challenge Ange will face at Celtic which he may not have at other clubs is trying to break down sides with all 11 men inside their own 25 from the 1st minute onwards.

From what I've seen of his tactics so far they seem counter intuitive. He wants his wings back to narrow the pitch by inverting inside, leaving our wingers 1v1 with their full backs. Which is grand, but we can't cross a ball.

Under Rodgers we spread the pitch, and opened up gaps in the middle for Armstrong/Rogic to do their thing. Because we're not packing the midfield, the likes of Turnball are crowded out.

He also wants his striker to come deep for the ball, and move the CB's out of position. Which is grand in Europe, and we seen it work once or twice against Mitdllyand. But it has less of an effect in the SPL where they sit so deep. What you need is your striker turning defenders and getting in behind.

I just think it will take Ange time to adapt his tactics to meet the challenge of Dundee away etc

(This isn't an insult) - It is very evident you have never watched Australian football, especially prior to the A-league :84:

This pish isn't unique to the Scottish Premiership.

EVERY manager has a “certain way” they want their teams to play so I’m not sure why it’s being highlighted so much? You think if Bielsas side loses a couple he just says “ah well guys, * it let’s not bother playing how I think will get us long term success any more”? You think Jose flip flops? Pep throws his playbook out the window?

Tweaking tactically in a game is one thing, going away from your entire philosophy/styleofplay/beliefsystem/callitwhatyouwant after 4 weeks and a couple of games is crazy.

Agree here, breaking sown sides that just sit back will be tougher and think you’ll see him adopt a wider rotation higher up the pitch when he’s got the players to do so.
