Time is not given in this environment, a lack of defence isn't accepted either. He needs to be able to change a game with subs, shape and/or formation. He failed to do this vs hearts, mjittyland. Some of this is funny.

If you think Ange only knows Australian and Japanese players you don't know the man at all.

Just a couple of the guys he signed from Europe while with the Roar were Thomas Broich who he scouted then drove himself across Germany to meet and sign and who was generally regarded as the best player in the league for most of his career here and Besart Berisha, another he signed from Europe, the leagues best striker and all time top scorer.

Any club should have a top scouting network obviously that works in this area but he's not and Australian/Japanese player or bust recruiter.

Also, while he wants to attack he's not clueless defensively and has met managers before that just may have tried what some of those in here miraculously think will easily undo the side believe it or not and still won leagues. When Brisbane won their first title they had the least goals conceded in the league but I do agree generally his sides aren't the most miserly around but they're certainly not as bad as is being suggested.

Not suggesting for a minute he's the messiah or the second coming of Bielsa, you have to earn that sort of stuff and he's got a long way to go for sure, but he's not the naive manager from the backblocks that is just thankful for a moment in the 'big leagues' as some seem to think.

 

DEFINITELY ! But we dont so he is very much behind the eight ball from the start ( as would be any new manager ) but Im hoping he will be able to deliver, he is not the Messiah but he is the best option we had.

 

Completely agree mate and point was more that while he isn't and shouldn't be the chief scout/recruiter he does also have knowledge of players outside of his own backyard.

Think signing two players of great experience (who are also upgrades on current options) is the right thing to do. The side lacks leadership badly and I think they're trying to get some balance back with experienced old pros who know how to win.

It appears it’s a case of dammed if you do and damned if you don’t for Ange.
If you lot don’t become to unrealistic and just give Ange time, you’ll reap the benefits. The rebuild and job at hand is massive.
Ffs you all talk about that but still expect immediate results.
And I guarantee Ange has signed off on these signings. He’s spoken about the need for experience and leadership. And maybe, just maybe, he’s sees something in Hart that you don’t.
You don’t honestly think the board put forward a signing, Ange says no * way, and the board say we’re signing them anyway. Ffs.
Remember Ange already kabooshed a few potential signings the board put forward.

 

We are not so minnow club from the back * of nowhere where football is not the most popular sport, time is given but results are expected in the league straight away, one or two bad results will be forgiven early on only but that’s it, he showed great naivety in his subs at the weekend, waiting till 70+ minutes when players were clearly tired and we needed an extra edge, those type of decisions will are on him.

 

hahaha, suggest you read the history out board are notorious for signing players on without a manager signing off, Hendry, Commper to name a couple, Ange has said I need a keeper you think he had much choice in who that would be?

You fail to see how transfers work here, he will identify positions, be given limited choice of potential and choose one even if he doesn’t fancy any. If he won’t choose board will choose for him.
