Agreed. I think Bain is a decent keeper to have as a backup. I would look to sell Barkas if possible this window now.

Welcome big man. Took a huge paycut and wants to be here. Hats off to him for that.

    Now......please be good.

Haha I must say I was a huge fan of Hart playing for England and * up so I have to laugh now he is our keeper.
No question he is a gamble given his lack of game time and or form for a few years now. But there is equally no question if on form he is a very good keeper. What gives me hope that this might work out is his willingness to take a significant wage cut. That tells me he is focused on trying to play and get back to his best. Time will tell if the gamble works out but this is a signing that if it works out could be very good for us.

Honestly think he will prove most of the doubters wrong. No pun intended but head and shoulders above anything we have right now.

I wouldn't have him anywhere close to FF quality but honestly, imo, I think he matches Craig Gordon.

Time will tell I guess. I am cautiously excited about this signing

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
A carrot with eyes drawn on it would be an upgrade, so from that perspective have to be happy.

Very similar story to McCarthy - long deal for a player of the age, and given previous seasons it’s a high risk profile. Same as mccarthy, could be fantastic - but I think more pressure on this one to hit the ground running.

That makes it SO * important now to get a RB and another centre half in (on loan to cover until jullien back).

He needs a good 4 in front of him, and a fit McCarthy in front of them to avoid being subjected to calamity and lack of confidence spreading.

In short, needs a good start. His experience should help him though, and us.

Honestly mate just got a feeling he’ll get the buzz back for himself that he’s been chasing since winning trophies at City. Think he’s been a bit lost since then, honestly this one’s a absolute perfect fit for me.

Hope your right and the gamble does make sense. Just have to hope it and McCarthy work out.

Could we not say that about any signing? Both in the door for 1 mill.

I’d rather gamble on this than £5m on Barkas ;)

Sure every signing is clearly a gamble. But for obvious form reasons with Hart and injury reasons with McCarthy they both present gambles above maybe the ordinary. Having said that given the cost and the upside I think the signings both make sense and if they work out could be very good for us.

I am with your there for sure. Sell Barkas now as far as I am concerned if we can find a buyer.
