Don’t think Ange is going to play with a ten though.

We've often been looking for a GK good at reacting to crosses. Kosei Tani for Japan has shown exactly that. New Zealand set pieces have largely been wasted thanks to his goalkeeping. Saved a penalty in the shootout, as well.

Gyasi Zardes could be a good signing, he's playing well with columbus in the MLS, doing well with the national side as well, quick as * and can play the wings as well so would be a good fluid option to tie in with some of the other new boys. Would be a good marketing item for the club towards the us market as well to cover the business concerns that the club always has. Don't think he has ambitions to Europe though I think he's very American sportsman in that sense though

On Americans as well Paul Arriola could be a wing option, but the problem with him is, he's a bit of a *.

We still need so many players.

Squad needs gutted. As I've said in here already. There's no way that only 4 or 5 first team players is enough.

I think if we got Hart, Buta, Itakura/Davies, Lovric and a left back in, we would be in a good position.

Obviously, we also need another right back, a defensive mid and a striker as well but I would assume Kyogo would be eddy replacement and Lovric would be the left winger we need.

Agree that the team needs torn up but even 2 or 3 proven quality would carry some of the dross thats still there

If kyogo is out edouard replacement we are in serious trouble.

He will get eaten alive as a lone forward in Scotland. The issue even then is we have * all behind him...its not just about first team players it's about what is coming on if those players don't tick or we need ro change things.

We really really need another CM in this window.

I said 17 players over 12 months is what I think we need and I'll still stand by it. That squad is nowhere near good enough and still too many players from previous campaigns who are spent forces.

I heard we're lined up to sign Liam Scales from Shamrock Rovers. Can play CB, LB and Left wing back. Good player.

Porteous would be a decent squad building signing, think he would do a job for us in Spl.
Starfelt, Jullien, porteous and hopefully Vickers would be decent cover for Cb.
To actually have Cb that are actually out and out Cb is a must, sick of midfielders filling a gap.

Gary Cahill is available on a free, could be good for 12 months to add a bit of experience. A bit like when Rodgers brought in Kolo Toure.

No thanks, couple years ago yes.
But hjelde, Murray, Welsh all fill that role of squad building and potential now.

We need two new CB that m is how to be experienced CB.

Maya Yoshida fits exactly that requirement.

1 year in to a 2 year contract, is sampdoria likely to want to sell?

Gary Cahill would be a shout if he still has the legs. Not seen him last year or so though

Why can't we just go to serie b and buy some defenders , these guys are brought up to defend

Big strong players who can put themselves about as we are too lightweight and will be bossed by the majority of teams in our league.

Don't know. But he neutralized Chris Wood yesterday with the help of Takehiro Tomiyasu. A big help was the keeper, who is great at claiming crosses.

He’s got a decent amount of experience that Welsh, Murray and hjelde don’t have playing the spl trying to be pragmatic as I would love our board to go out and sign 2 top cb

The man for me is Simon Deli at Club Brugge, he’s down the pecking order there behind some good defenders but is experienced in Europe, quick, strong left sided and probably available for under £2m with a couple of years on his deal. Strolled the game vs them at Ibrox when back on loan at Slavia.

I'd be keeping tabs on that right back Ramsey for Aberdeen. 18 years old and Man of the match today. Watched their home European tie and thought he played well then.
