We very likely win that game with competent and fair officials, crazy how the narrative gets spun over game changing decisions to Ange isn't capable, will he last the season etc.

When Ange was appointed most in here were wanting him to bring his own coaching team in to give himself a chance. He may have a system he likes and wants to attack however you need to defend, we can't do that. We couldn't defend set pieces last season and now this season. If he is relying on Kennedy and Strachan to do the defensive stuff then it is doomed to failure. He needs someone who can have a word in his ear about defending. He is obviously getting info on players on how and where they have played before, some of the descisions from last season are being used. Forest on the left, Bitton CB, Eddy as a lone striker, Taylor as a wing back. All these never worked last season, either Ange has no idea, which I dont believe or someone is influencing his descisions, shoe horning players into positions and a system they are not suited to.

Just as he criticized the board regarding transfers, he needs to speak up about getting new staff members in. He has a right to his staff, no matter his reputation.

So if Starfelt and Bitton don’t play, what’s your defence? I wouldn’t have played Bitton for Welsh either by the way, but if you aren’t playing both what’s the option? Forrest come on during the week and was our biggest threat. Most fans, myself included wanted Christie out the door. The two full backs shouldn’t be starting for us, but the board have decided not to bring any new ones in.

You are completely ignoring the big picture here. Has Postecoglou made wrong calls so far, yes he has. What manager in world football hasn’t? The biggest problem here though is that he isn’t being allowed the best chance to succeed, the very same way Deila wasn’t either. It’s absolutely ridiculous to criticise a manager who has been here five minutes with no real time for preparation, with a squad that is in complete and utter disarray due to the idiots we have in charge of the club.

Aye absolutely the board are to blame and a DoF is needed but a fresh start and rebuild would be all the more cleaner with his own staff behind him.. This may still happen but its going to take longer than it should.. Unless theres a massive change in outlook in the coming weeks.

Needs the tools to do his job and fast. I’m still positive he’ll get us results and playing good football with it.

I don't know what your point is then bcos you are literally agreeing with me on some of the things I'm questioning him on. Therefore he's right to have some criticism aimed his way. He didn't cut it last night against a * Hearts side full of dross.

The bigger picture is a different question and one I'm not ignoring at all. I don't want him punted and obviously he needs more time but if he's making questionable decisions then I'll call him out for them, same as I would do for any other manager.

Results and performances will decide his fate, he has the backing of supporters for now, but the honeymoon period won't last forever, there has to be signs of some sort of progression along the way.

The problem is that by the time the team actually get's going the League could be over.

Just can’t get enough Depeche mode
We 100% need about 10 players for a decent starting 11 and squad depth but Ange also needs a couple of extra coaches to help him out. Him trying to install a whole new playing style and bed in new players with just the help of Strachan, Kennedy and Woods is a recipe for disaster imo.

That’s true - but it doesn’t need to be either/or.

The board have dealt him a horrendous hand but decision making has been questionable, and we looked unfit.

    Walk On
I think the big man is now in a position where he has got nothing to loose if he threatens to walk if he doesn't get the support he so desperately needs to do his job. He knows any reputation he has will go downhill very quickly if he doesn't start getting results and he might just be thinking * this, they've done the dirty on me, so I'm out of here.

100%. I don't know why people are struggling with the concept of having anger towards the board but also questioning some of his match day decisions.

I mean, we probably are. The team were in horrendous shape last year. We played a game on wednesday that went into extra time and Ange has been here for 4 weeks. He's not going to have everyone in the best shape in 4 weeks. We were still in July. I don't think fitness was the issue. Especially after playing a demanding 120 minutes on Wednesday night.

Does he even have a fitness coach? An assistant manager, defensive coach, the list goes on in the incompetence of the board. Don’t think I’ve seen this sort of shambles in a football club in my puff. If the board ain’t supporting bringing in his own staff what chance has he got with players or in general for that fact.

Some people within Celtic seem untouchable, yet others are hung out to dry unjustifiably. The whole thing * stinks to high heaven.

4 weeks is enough time to have professional athletes in tip top shape. Especially if it's the cornerstone of your philosophy and should be making it a priority. Every club in the world will be having similar lengths of pre season to us yet some will be much fitter than others. It's how hard you work on that fitness in that period that generally determines how fit you are. My old gaffer used to have us running up and down the sand dunes pre season and some horrendous weeks at bellahouston park. We were the fittest team in the league bcos we were worked at it.
