    Barkas - £5m
    Taylor - £3m
    Boli - £3m
    Jullien - £7m
    Starfelt - £4m (reported)

To say that we have not spent money is preposterous. To say that we have spent money (some, upon revisionism) on complete dross and mismanaged funds, is reasonable.

I would rather stay broke than be him.

I mean I wouldn’t really but I would, you know?

I remember at one point reading that Eddie Howe wanted to bring a team of staff with him which would have meant Fergus Harkin not getting the job he was being lined up for. I was kinda * off but willing to go for it as it meant Howe was getting his own coaching and recruitment setup.

Somehow the feeling turned to '* Eddie Howe', he ended up the villain. Bit like Rodgers when he * off.

Both scenarios were professional, quality managers dropping us like a bag of *...both scenarios were also our board not supporting a manager who could bring us huge success.

If Howe was allowed to bring in his guys we would have been so far ahead of where we are now, am sure of it. Ange is obviously a talented coach but he's come in on his own with no * to back him up.

The writing was on the wall with the Howe debacle, I've tried like * to stay positive out of respect for Ange but am afraid there is nothing left to hold onto. We are royally * and will be until these scum bags are ousted.

Bizarre that so many fans can't see what the boards doing to the club. Selling lads on without re-investing. A shame really, but the reason why it continues.

You do realise that one of our biggest remits is to buy low, sell high?

How many times in our history have we went out and signed a player for, say, £6m and sold him for anything over £10m? NEVER (well, not as far as I'm aware anyway?)

Let's have a think off the top of our head, shall we?

    You mention Tierney and Ajer......

Tierney - youth product, sold for over £25m

Ajer - signed for £300k, sold for somewhere in the region of £15m(ish)

Frimpong, signed for £300k, sold for £13m

Dembele - signed for £500k, sold for over £20m

Wanyama - signed for £600k, sold for £12m

Fraser Forster, signed permanently for £2m after two successful loan spells, sold for £12m

Van Dijk, signed for £2.4m, sold for £12m

and so on and so on....

Have we invested enough of this back into the team? I absolutely do not agree to that notion, no * could.

That being said, HAVE WE INVESTE DECENT MONEY IN THE TEAM IN THE LAST FEW SEASONS? Aye, obviously!

I'll recap over the last few seasons, in no particular order:

    Edouard £9m,
    Ntcham £4.4m
    Barkas £5m
    Taylor £3m
    Boli £3m
    Turnbull £4.4m
Duffy and Elyounoussi on extravagant loan fees
    Jullien £7m
    Abada, £3.8m
    Furuhashi £4m
    Starfelt £4m

Since Lennon's first time in charge, not taking into account free transfers and undisclosed fees, the transfer fees in and out are:

Lennon - Transfers In (26.6m) Transfers Out (42m)
Deila - Transfers In (11.8m) Transfers Out (27m)
Rodgers - Transfers In (27.8m) Transfers Out (33m)
Lennon - Transfers In (29.5m) Transfers Out (42m)
Postecoglou - Transfers In (11.9m) Transfers Out (14.25m)

    Total In - 107.6m
    Total Out - 159m

    I can see exactly that.

It’s still not asset stripping though.

You would almost think those players were intentionally bought by an undercover Hun from within the club... first 3.

How any fan can stand over a transfer policy that puts out Ralston - Murray - Welsh - Taylor and Montgomery in a CL qualifier is bizarre. Let's not even talk about who was on the bench. You'd confuse it with a Colts team.

The squad has been demolished by the board over the last few years. Selling players for big money, releasing squad players to reduce the wage bill.

Fans are setting a very low bar.

The transfer policy isn't what produced a back line of that calibre (with Bitton in the first leg), it was a complete ineptitude by this shambles of a board who have continually mis-managed the team on the park over the course of (especially) at least the last 3 seasons.
