I think he undoubtedly will want some of his own people around but the way this is going he will need to fight one fire at a time.

He's taking on the board here with signings and he's got his head screwed on enough to know the feeling amongst the support. It's a risk for him to do this but a calculated one knowing that he has the support behind him on it.

With all eyes watching now they should give him the signings he's craving. With that he can get his team playing they way he wants and earn more bargaining chips with the support right behind him.

Pretty pathetic that this is the way a new manager has to go about things to get a winning team on the park but that's where we have found ourselves with this lot.

I think he knew if he didn’t make a statement last night nothing was going to change, if he made subs that impacted the game and we won the board would have said, see you have a good enough squad. The * stuck between a rock and a hard place, the sooner the board and owner are replaced the better, in fact I fear that’s the only way we as a club can get out of this * show we are in the now. Because since these * morons have been involved we’ve been on a road to ruin.

Watching him last night on the touch line he looked so exiled, no coaches no other staff just Ange. This clubs rotten to the core by people motivated by greed and not in it for footballing reasons.

Mate, thats not a warning for us, thats a good thing for us, we are crying out for that.

The warning we said to aussie fans just starting to support us was that this job is * mental. He has been here 4 weeks and already looks half broken, anything hes done before now goes out the window.

    Feel sorry for the *.

I'm not sure I've seen anyone on here blaming Ange. I'd be interested to hear what they feel he's responsible for.

This is it in a nutshell. See if he did leave, he walked out and he made it publicly known that he wasn’t happy with the recruitment of the club and the board? He would be lauded by the fans and welcomed back with open arms.

it takes someone who has * all to do with the club in terms of affiliation to call out the charlatans running us into the ground and to stop risking his own reputation. He could walk tomorrow and more than likely get another job in Asia no problem. I hope he does walk and it’s not because I want him to, because I like him and his style of play, with the right players, will be successful. It would put the board into panic mode though.

If he walked away from the job and directly blamed the board for not backing him then it would be the end of them and they would all be out a job. From what I'm seeing I don't think he would be adverse to it. If they are too stupid to realise that and don't back him now then they deserve what they get. He's played his hand, let's see how they respond.

    No I get that.
But he got so shitbagged by the majority of you guys when he was first announced.
Calls he was a yes man and out of his depth. And yes, what a poisoned chalice this gig is.
And some of us Aussies were telling you guys that he wont put up with *, and will walk if he’s not getting the support he feels he deserves. And we were laughed at saying this is his big opportunity etc etc.
I personally said this job could kill his career if he just ploughed on. But knowing Ange, if he doesn’t see some serious support from the board over the next few months, he’ll walk by Christmas.
The spanner is if the players buy into what he’s trying to achieve, irrespective of the quality of the stock, and he’s seeing improvement, he has always stood by his players who put the effort in. He does love a project.
I’ve said it a few times now, but this is going to be a ride.

No-one shitbagged him, we got sick of Australians who never heard of Celtic till now blowing smoke up his * every 2 posts before he even managed a single game, we rightly questioned his experience at managing a club with such demands as Celtic.

Idiots mate, flooded the forum in droves, busy telling us Ange was the best coach ever, has zero flaws, apart from being too good.
    Yet to see it.

Why are these Aussies coming onto this board saying "you's had a go at him when he signed" or "give him time", "he's the best thing since sliced bread"?

We've gone through all of this most recently with Ronny Deila. An unknown with a unique approach to player development and his own particular playing style. We gave him plenty of time, didn't work out, the club was too big for him, but many of us still wish him all the best.

Fans will give Ange time. We'll support any change in play that's more offensive and aggressive. We like that he's voicing his opinions about the board etc.

He's been in the gig 4 weeks. Our squads a disaster. We're out of the CL in July. The last thing we need is a bunch of bogans coming on here to wind people up. It's an absolute mess.

For those looking to get a message across to the board, I’d organise a fan blockade on the opening day of the season.

Nobody allowed into the stadium other than Ange, the players, support staff, the referees, the opposition, in other words, essential people only. Everyone else, including the board, McKay, non essential staff, can get *.

All the fans outside, clap the players in, then continue the blockade.

What bigger message can be sent, than fans refusing to return after all this time to protest and blockade the board and the ground. Would make worldwide headlines even if the blockade was held until we were behind on the scoreboard, whereby fans come inside to support the team.

Ideally fans wouldn’t have to go in.

really?? It’s been proven that some of our fans can’t demonstrate properly. Your right it would make headline news, for the wrong reasons.

This playing out from the back gives me the fear, especially with the defence we have right now, slow passing in and around our own penalty box is a recipe for disaster.

That's the only mark against him.. I get what he's trying to do but if you don't have the players to implement it and we don't its going to be a disaster... everytime we had the ball at the back I had heart palpitations..

Unless Ange gets the players to implement his style we and he are *

He honestly didn’t get shitbagged. The process that brought him to be Celtic manager was where the fans anger was directed and that was completely justifiable.

In sacking Lennon in February we had already persisted with him for about 4 months longer than most fans wanted to. We then waited on how for around 3 months, under the premise that he was working away in the background and would be confirmed imminently. When it was confirmed he wouldn’t be joining, it was very clear we had wasted the best part of a year, with Ange then being brought in from nowhere (proverbially speaking, there was barely a hint of a rumour up until a couple of days before he joined).

What was said to the Australians who had just joined was that this job is like nothing he’s experienced before, and I think the past few weeks have more than justified that view.

People like him. He’s a likeable bloke. Barely anyone actually blames him. But it’s clear that the jury is still out about him to a degree, which it should be after a few short weeks in the job.

Also it will take at least 3 windows I reckon to get a squad he is happy with... Will he get 3 windows?
