    How is it pie in the sky?

    If we sign say even 7 players by the end of this window we will without doubt have signed 17 by the end of the next summer window. Its not pie in the sky at all to suggest thats what we need over the course of 3 windows in his first year as manager.

    I'm not saying 17 in this window. But I don't think there's any getting away from the fact the vast majority of this squad is pish and for the bin.

    Its not just about the 11 starters. We have absolutely nothing worthy in reserve even if we do get those 5 in that you're talking about. Edouard goes we need to hope we can replace him, Ajeti and Griffiths aren't upto it, they'll need replaced. There's 3 players immediately for the one position.

    The squad needs to compete across 4 competitions. A complete rebuild.

    I don't think 5 is enough. That's just my opinion.

    We need two strikers even if Eddy stays. His head has gone.

    Griff is hopefully getting punted, and Ajeti clearly isn’t fancied by the manager.

    Our options up top are shocking.

    Celtic as a club needs at the very least 2 main strikers who we can rely on.

    5 first team players would almost sort out our goalkeeper and back 4, that’s it. It would give us:

    New GK + Bain
    New RB + New RB
    New CB + Jullien
    Starfelt + Murray/Welsh
    New LB + Taylor/Montgomery

    On top of that we’re absolutely crying out for a holding midfielder and a striker (irrespective of Edouard and Griffiths going). I’d also strongly argue we need a left winger or number 10. So that’s 7 or 8 that I’d strongly argue need to arrive this window.

    I'm saying we need to sign that number over the course of 3 windows. I know that with our board etc whether that actually happens and we ARE going to is another story, aye.

    That part aye, may be pie in the sky. I don't personally think when I look at that squad, suggesting 17 new faces are required over the next year is a mad idea though.

    I'll wait and see how many we get in over the next 12 months.

    8 by the end of this window - Starfelt, Hart, Buta, Abada, Furuhashi, LB x 1, DM x 1, CB x 1

    4 in January

    5 next summer.



    I dont think thats crazy numbers at all. Thats not accounting for if players leave, which they will.

    We need quality players in now and not just "projects" or guys on the cheap. We all know that we need a new GK, LB, RB and a CH however, it's now plain to see that Eddy doesn't want to be here, Ajeti isn't good enough and Griffiths has completely fecked up. It's not yet a "catastrophe" as that bbc * said last night however, it is serious and we need major changes but, then again, we have been saying that for a few years now.

    Dont know if already mentioned but Sergio Romero is still without a club and a free agent since leaving Man utd would far rather trying to push the boat out for him than Hart and Foster

    For our Goalkeeping situation I'd suggest Ivica Ivusic from NK Osijek in Croatia.

    He's had two solid seasons with them, qualifying for Europe both years. He's 6ft 5" with a commanding presence and he came through the Inter Milan youth system.

    He'd also probably only cost about £2.5M-£3.5M and certainly wouldn't command the wages being spoken about for Joe Hart.

    £5m for him is a risk we can't afford to take, swap feal maybe buy even £3m I dunno.

    I'm not sure on him. Reckon Hickey is the better prospect.

    Said it before Osijek are a team worth having a look at they had a great season last year and if it hadn’t been for a poor start to the league campaign may have pipped Dinamo Zagreb. Some are tipping them to do it this season.

    Their striker Mierez was the league top scorer and looked a good player, the GK you mentioned and Mihael Zaper their holding midfielder all be it he’s more a McGregor type than a ball winner. There right back Igor Silva was a good attacking full back but moved to Lorient for less than £2m.

    Instead of Ivušić, I'd rather we took a "gamble" on Cho Hyeon-woo. 29- he had a * blinder at the last World Cup for South Korea. People were afraid of Gordon being a flop- he ended up being solid. This keeper isn't great at playing out from the back either, but is a fantastic shot stopper, and would be cheap.

    If I wanted a free agent released by Palace it would have been Sakho not Cahill. I'm sure we could've matched Montpellier considering there's * all money in France
