You are correct - one day, it WILL come. Not this year though, and i hope not the next either. He's got another 2 winners medals to pick up before that, and a competent team to move to as well, with any luck. Better than the Geordie's poor sh^t cousins, anyway...

He is entitled to play for ROI, and DOES play for ROI - that is the end of that. As a youth, he was also ignored for younger versions of the full Scotland team, so in my opinion he was entitled to do whatever he wanted. Just a shame he doesn't play for Scotland, as that's my national team, and he's immense - as for loyalty, hi f^cking NAME suggested it would always be in doubt. Perhaps we should have courted him better as opposed to EVER risking losing him.

As for money, he earns plenty at present, and medals are worth more for any player - at the end of a career, all one has is one's legacy.

banter aside like i said my 1st post i dont think he would come to safc but if the cash is to good celtic will take it.
safc are a world apart from the club drumaville took over and some of you lot need to take ur blinkers off.you give plenty of grief about the epl but you lot and the huns would jump at the chance to play in it.you wouldnt win * all but the rest of scotland would love it
all in all celtic are 1 of 2 big but not huge clubs and if he wants a challenge safc would be ideal,he wouldnt get in the teams of the top 6 of the epl so look at it that way and its possible
you list plenty of players who have done * all in england maloney, miller etc etc, they werent good enough and he might not be but they way you think he is this world beater who will take la liga by storm is laughable
running past bobby mcneeskill week in week out is totally different from real leagues fellas

Bhoylegend1888 is a hun in Champion's clothing. Don't engage him in any serious debate. His head will start to hurt.

Aye, but the Champions League is of a higher level than the EPL, so why would he swap one for the other. He's stated that he wants to play in Spain at some point. The Premiership is certainly the richest league, but give me La Liga any day of the week over it. Just because SKY rub your belly and tell you you're special, doesn't actually make it so. You'll continue to snap up Prem. never-weres from mid-table teams. Sunderland's a dump and no-one in their right mind would move there. Sorry to be harsh, but them's the facts, jack.

Hey Darkside, don't start all right, just don't even bother. Trying to compare Celtic and Sunderland is like trying to compare a * with a night with a sexed up supermodel. Celtic are more than just a football Club and that's why we are HUGE. Yes we don't have the cash of the EPL nor do we have quite the success on the continent that we'd enjoy, but then again we do not to bad. But outside of that, Celtic is a globally recognised club and brand. Its synonymous with values that go back to our founders, and a passion that is unrivalled. You know our pal McGeady, he gets that, so he won't leave for * Sunderland. Who the * do you think you guys are. You have improved yes but just because you can buy a * tonne of players doesn't mean A. you'll be successful or B. that you will have any kind of status in the world of football. Your a wee club, that lives under the shadow or a bigger club thats * miles away. So just leave it, its not a discussion. We'll keep our wee cash pot whilst making continuous improvements in the most prestigious club competition in the world, operating with the support of the best fans in the world, across the globe. You can concentrate on the heady task of mounting a serious challenge against Stoke and Hull for the battle for 14th position. Let me know how it goes.
