You know something? Wasn’t the defence that was the let down either, fair play to the young guys at the back.

Imagine this was Lennons team last year. How many would it have been? 6/7/8-1 on aggregate? Ange has less to work with and has shown slight signs of improvement. I have no doubt he will get us going sooner rather than later. Once a we have a GK and 2 new full backs. Starfelt in and Kyogo here. Needs to get us off to a good start on Saturday.

I still think he’ll come good, aye i’d like it if he adjusted his tactics to suit a * back line but on the same foot if we didn’t miss sitters we would of won comfortable.

    Onwards and upwards

    Good point.

Apart from Taylor. Can't point any fingers at an 18 year old guy.

Don’t think Taylor put a foot wrong either really. Didn’t bury our chances and couldn’t get a grip in midfield later on in the game, Soro and Turnbull were absolutely * and we done nothing to change it.

It was inevitable. A few signings in the next few weeks changes the teams dynamics completely. At least we will have 2 hopefully 3 new faces in the team to freshen things up

Of course he can still come good.

No * manager in world football would do something with this side.

People are all fine and dandy moaning about how many players are missing and how up against it we are but when the result actually happens you see * immediately changing their tune and looking for someone to blame.

There's only one part of the club to blame. And I won't say it again cos we all SHOULD know.

This will take 1-2 years to fix. Sooner people get that into their heid the better. People not realising that and giving him stick already is more annoying than that result.

I expected nothing less than what I seen tonight.

This is like a continuation of last season...this passing the ball around the back is bollox and a keeper who kicks the ball anywhere but up the pitch ..bollox.

Saving grace is we were never getting to CL. Let’s be honest.

This isn’t on Ange - the back line would be lucky to be at a level to be compared with Livingston. If any of them are considered starters at the end of the transfer window that’s when I’ll worry.

This season was gone and a rebuild job months ago - now is NOT the time to be getting on at a manager just in the f?cking door. Any suggestion otherwise is plain batshit daft.

Even if we had made it through this tie, we would have got hammered by PSV.

The bottom line is that any opportunity to build and gain momentum was lost. We have only lost quality from Ajer. We havnt qualified for the last 4 seasons now, so we are not gona do that with an inferior squad.

We knew before tonight we were not good enough to make it. We need to build.

Yeah mate 7 might of been a stretch...

Calmac, Turnbull, Soro, Christie(when he wants), Julian(when he's fit) Forrest( when he's not injured) I'm kind of hoping Abada, Starfelt and the Japanese lad will come good...

So for tonight you got to look at what Ange had to work with..its absolutely frightening..

Ralston, Murray and Welsh done well tonight but are not good enough

Was forgetting Jullien, who I’d also keep around. We definitely need the three new signings to hit the ground running quickly. With those three, Jullien back and a new goalkeeper, we’ve almost got 11 passable players.

Totally agree that it’s an extremely tough task for Ange. I’ve got a lot of sympathy for him.

One thing I will say on his tactics, early observation.

Even with better players I think he's going to have to be more pragmatic in Europe. I know the aussies will say its his way or the high way but he's not coached at this sort of club level before.

We need to be realistic. But again that's an early observation. It'll take time.

    Broken record, I know.

It can be boring constantly saying/hearing it, but you’re definitely right. He can’t just click his fingers and make an instant impact, especially with the * he’s got at his disposal. He needs time on the training field and to be backed to the hilt by the board.

    100%.

I hope that most of our fanbase stick to their guns with what they're saying in terms of giving him time.
