Well what a start to my birthday that turned out to be. I was not able to watch the game until early Sunday morning and what a superb display by Dublin. Obviously we were favourites going in but Mayo are a really good side so I though we played very well to win so so comfortably. The key for me was how we managed that first 10 minutes of the second half. Mayo knew they would be a man up after McDaid's black card but yet we managed to dominate possession and keep the 2 point lead once those 10 minutes were up and it was back to 15 a side. Then we put the game away so clinically.

A truly incredible accomplishment to win 6 All Ireland titles in a row and to do it in such dominant fashion too really putting the stamp on this teams status as the greatest of all time. Unfortunate for such a good Mayo side to have come on the scene at the same time as a Dublin team that has no peers.

Bit of a joke that Dublin and Kerry now share the National League title. Surely they could have squeezed the game in somewhere over the next month. Even if it was after the championship had started for one or both teams It would have been great to see them go at it in a Final.

Yeah it's a bit silly sharing a league.. but look we are in strange times and to get them playing games before the championship is good, very little importance on the league this year.. they will meet in the championship anyway, can't see anyone getting close to either this year.. id like to see anyone but Dublin win it this year but unfortunately from a Dubs point of view that will be Kerry, they look formidable

Fair point that the league is even more of a warm up then usual given the circumstances but still would have liked to see us go at it with Kerry in a final. Your right though Dublin and Kerry do look to be considerably ahead of the rest of the pack at the moment and will most likely meet each other in the All Ireland Final or semi-final. Not sure what provincial champions play who in the semi-final or if that has even been decided yet.

Hard to see past Mayo in Connacht Kerry in Munster and Dublin in Leinster. Ulster probably Donegal but Tyrone have a shot I would say.

Must say on the hurling side given the very uninspiring League form I was genuinely worried we might lose to Antrim this weekend so to not just win that game but actually batter Antrim then was a nice bonus. I m sure it will be back to earth though against Galway. Dublin hurling right now just seem caught at the moment. Not good enough to beat any of the counties that have a shot at the All Ireland but too good for the rest.

Agreed. Hope Derry give Donegal a game at least, they've improved of late, as have Armagh. Donegal will take Ulster I think though.

Derry did have a solid league campaign and Tyrone have a shot I think but I would be surprised if Donegal don't win Ulster.

Great match between Armagh and Monaghan today. Went right to the final few minutes with a Monaghan victory :36:

Incredible game really. Talk about a game of 2 halves. Similar to the Dublin V Meath game really.

Men against boys now. In reality there is only one competitive provincial championship.
