You criticised my opinion because I had limited viewing and you’ve seen him much more, so your opinion is more valid, according to you. You also said he played under Ange and does play the ball out from the back.

Lawrence Thomas it seems, is not a ball playing keeper and did not get chosen often under Ange at Melbourne and not at all for Australia under Ange. I think that speaks volumes.

You claimed I said he wasn’t good enough, when I suggested he is not the type of goalkeeper Ange would want to sign.

You’ve quoted me and spoke about Kalac in the 06 World Cup and don’t understand the relevance at all.

Give a proper reply or don’t bother, no point being selective to suit your narrative and being wrong again. You shouldn’t criticise my opinion either or claim your opinion is more valid because I’ve seen less matches of him. I might be a better judge of a player than you? Who knows.

Anyway, yeah the thread has went way off topic sorry to everyone else. And I guess keep player suggestions to the player suggestion thread and I’ll keep my responses in there as well.

langerack lol? I grew up im Germany and been watching Stuttgart since a little lad. Langerack was by far the worst first keeper i have seen in my 35 odd years of watching Stuttgart. He is 2/3 levels lower then Barkas! He is a nice fellow right enough, but he is a number two at a decent club, never a number one.

I don’t mind it too much, it’s great to hear different opinions and brings something different to the forum.

I just dislike the over the top bias and the insistence these would be great signings and so on.

Like from this, I’ve went and looked at players I normally wouldn’t, like the Lawrence Thomas guy.

But if you disagree with an opinion it feels like it’s taken too personally and seen accusations of anti Australia and so on if people disagree.

I don’t want them to stop sharing opinions and recommending players here and there, just chill a bit and not take everything so personally.

 

He has commented on a few of my posts, he rambles on posts, makes mental claims and clearly knows * all about football or he is just a * troll trying to get a bite.
