I do not know of any keeper for Celtic who was flawless, or in history a keeper that was flawless. Perhaps Zamora, Tiger Komich, or Lev Yashin - maybe. What do you think ?

That is why you have an Australian manager/coach at present getting Celtic back to where they should be as a club. Ange has breathed the same air I breath every day. I am not in a position to even clean Ange's boots but I know good from bad. If I have an informed opinion I will give it. I have 5 books on Celtic on my bookshelf and saw Celtic as a kid beat Inter- Milan in Lisbon. Do not assume to know what I do know or not know.

All I’ve said is he does not seem to be the type of keeper Ange would be looking for. Seems to be a good shot stopper but not good with the ball at his feet.

He’s the same age as Mat Ryan and has 1 cap, that came last month against Nepal. Will he even play many games for Australia? Is he even the 2nd choice keeper or is he the 3rd choice keeper?

 

I’m not sure what you are claiming is the reason we have an Australian manager. It’s also entirely unclear whether he is “getting us back to where we should be” even though there are positive signs and I like the cut of his jib.

Comparing yourself to Ange because you’re both Australian is an extremely strange leap. I grew up breathing the same air Danny McGrain did, but I’m not suggesting I should be playing right back this season. Similarly, I’ve read the Harry Potter books and seen the films, but I’m no wizardry expert.

 

Yes, Vukovic is very good and much loved at Genk FC. He is well past 33 now but still quality and dependable. Goalies have longevity. Agree re Langerak also. Should have had more games under Ange in the last WC campaign, was not too impressed with Ryan at times because he had some mediocre games during that series of matches.

Kalac was atrocious in that WC 2-2 draw with Croatia in Germany. What was the coach doing in putting him in goal against his own people ? Bad move, culturally incorrect for many reasons.
