Yeah that's what I'm saying. The government really need to be rethinking some of their policies regarding sport in this country because a lot of families and kids are basically being priced out of it.

I do not think these events/sports exclude anyone from joining such clubs. If you have a passion and talent you will follow it. If you can not afford it in time or money that is another matter. Some countries provide sponsorships for their athletes - but obviously not all countries. Otherwise we would not have athletes and sports people competing at the Olympics in the first place. That is why it is a sport - to achieve your best in public competition.

That is the spirit of the Olympics - to achieve the best you can in your physical event in competition with others of a like mind. The olive garland crown as the sign of excellence and victory. Today we also have the medals, gold, silver, bronze. The joy is also in competing and joining with others in an atmosphere of peace and friendship and mutual respect.

 

Ever call into a family members house on a whim, and walk into to a massive Barney about the maddest * on earth? Then you stand there half grinning at how mad it is, half confused as to why the * they're arguing about something so random. Like where'd the pen that was on the table go? Or who ate the packet of rolos in the fridge? Or how long the water heater has been on for?

Massive problem in Australia.

The level of fees being charged to kids wanting to break into the junior rep teams is eye-watering. When I was a kid making the rep team was free (after you'd paid your local club rego). These days it's something like $2.5k minimum whereas local club fees are $300 - 400 for the season.

Lots are being priced out of that pathway but plenty still pay it, expecting their kid to be the next Harry Kewell. * knows how many huge talents we're losing because of this national disgrace.

 

Need to shore up the defence soon before we face PSV,that’s if we get past the Danes.With the quarantining and that,it’s very likely we’ll have the same back line going into the next round.

Danny Ward maybe if Forster isn’t available.

Not really getting a look in at Leicester with Kasper Schmichel in goal. Ward was pretty class for Wales at the Euros there.

 

Think Ward is ok, but it would be a loan, LCFC paid £12m for him and he has 4 years to go on his contract.

Surely we can find a decent keeper in Europe for a reasonable price?

 

Sergio Romero is still a free agent, would love us to sign him. Unsure he’d want to join though with the interest from Chelsea and probably more.

 

Reasonable shout but he loves the bench. Probably looking for a cushy prem bench job.

 

I don't like to put up Aussie names for Celtic as I think there were only 2 that are of the standard, but I do think Barkas isn't up to it (obviously) and although you couldn't appoint Thomas as a number one he would be a great back up.

 

Why not a number 1? Give reasons, don't leave it like that. Are you aware of him ? I don't think you are from Melbourne.
