I have mentioned Marco Tilio before as a Celtic target. Game has just finished in Japan Olympics. Australia 2 Argentina 0. Tilio came on as a sub in the 80th minute for Arzani, formerly with Celtic. First touch of the ball, scores the second goal. Enormous player for his age, now on the world stage. Celtic better get in quick - he will be a bargain on a 5 year contract. Same with Riley McGree if they can get him. Tilio is short like Jinky Johnstone, and a * of a player for his age.

 

If Ange were to go for just one of the Olympic squad (and I doubt he'll go for any)... it ought to be Atkinson. Fast, aggressive, highly skilled right back. Perfect for angeball in a position of significant weakness.

Granted I get your passion for Australia but tbh Egypt just roasted Spain in the Olympics, I think most of us are of the same thought, the olympics (football wise) is complete nonsense, I wouldn’t look into any of the results as it’s not a fully structured competition.
