This is what I'm talking about. People are being made out as bitter because they want Kennedy to go when it's just a normal procedure. Also - we saw him perform poorly. It's not just random unjustified hate.

Look if Ange genuinely wants him and rates him that's fine, but there's a danger that goes above Ange.

Ange will be here for 3 seasons, maybe 4. We have a problem at this club with regard to a board that wants far too much control over the football team. Too much cronyism, too much nepotism.

No one can say with any confidence that if Ange leaves after a period of success the board won't use that opportunity to put Kennedy in, or force him on the next manager. Kennedy will owe his entire career to the Celtic board and only the Celtic board. That's a situation with extremely bad potential, whether people want to admit it or not.

Why is it so controversial to suggest Kennedy get away from Celtic for a few seasons, prove himself somewhere and come back with a reputation? If nothing else the experience would be beneficial. He'd genuinely have my support and if he done well.

Fine, Ange wants him and Ange is the boss. When Ange goes, Kennedy goes, agreed?

From memory Gordon was hounded for a lot of his time here. His random charges of his goal line being one example of this. We couldn't wait to get rid of him. It's only since we've been left with dross that people are now looking back fondly saying he wasn't all that bad.

Once he's told Barkas to catch the ball he'll move on to coaching our young future no1's for a couple of hours. Oh wait.

So what tangible evidence are you basing your opinion on then?

Some people definitely didn't like him and towards the end he might've started to lose it a bit, but there's no doubt he was a good goalie for a long time here.

You need to remember at the time he left we had Forster for a season and expected to get him back again.

Throw in the fact he's about 300 years old, always been a bit of an * and left him family for the Celtic TV girl then it's clear why people wanted him gone.

Mad Craig Gordon revisionism in here. His hospital balls in his last season under Rodgers were constantly putting us into trouble in games.

Also, for every good save he made in Europe he had an absolute howler to go with it. Also flapped at everything that went near post.

Just out of interest and not saying it's right but you'll find that's not just a problem for Celtic, it's across the board in society. People operating at those kind of levels often use their influence to help their pals and family or just to scratch a fellow rich guys back for monetary purposes.

Absolutely. It’s a huge problem, something that you need to always guard against.

Do you think a manager and a coach is the same job? :39:

They’re both directly responsible for defending from set pieces, as a topical example.

And he couldn’t resolve that problem from either side of the fence, evidently.

Really? So as a coach if you think it should be defended in a certain way you could just do that regardless of the managers instructions?

Always falls on the manager, and I agree he couldn’t resolve it totally but it did get better under him. Whether you’d like to admit that or not.

So your basing his 6 year tenure as a coach at Celtic on a 3 month period when he undertook a different role; the club was in turmoil from top to bottom; and the season was essentially over with a certain group of players who downed tools?

All whilst downplaying the praise given to him by the likes of Ajer, Rodgers and Duff?

    Seems legit..

It didn’t, not a single thing changed from Lennon to JK.

Duff gets way over excited talking about Celtic staff. I love him but take it all with a pinch of salt.

Ajer clearly gets on with JK as did the rat. All his mates rally round him because he’s getting pelters from the support, completely natural but no actual evidence that he is the coach his reputation would lead you to believe he is. And if he were he’d go and take a job like a Hibs or something of that ilk and prove himself.

And that pretty much sums it up, it doesn’t matter if you’re a guy that’s been his boss, a guy that’s tried to poach him from us, a guy that’s trained under him or been coached by him. None of their opinions count. Because some peoples taken a dislike to him.

Evidence that the rat tried to poach him?
