1 cb and 2 full backs. Welsh imo is ready for cover and once julien is back, it'll be him or the new guy to drop to the bench.

Its gonna be a good season. Cant wait.

His honesty is so refreshing it’s reason enough get behind him. Polar opposite from Lennon who would throw anyone under the bus given half a chance. Enjoyed mcgregors comments yesterday re having a manager who takes responsibility - not sure if it was definitely intended as a dog to Lennon but I hope it was and that Lennon heard it.

Best display of his tactics so far. But its even more glaring how much we need good full backs for this system!

I'm pretty sure the scouting logic behind Barkas was that he played well against us once, so he must be good.

Our scouting network is arguably more threadbare than the squad. Needs addressed

If only he could coach him to beat the first man on a corner consistently :56:

Play like that though, us fans will turn around and stop calling him all the names under the sun and apologise and blame the tactics last season. Not a think I thought I'd ever say. Still in * zone, but he may creep his way out.

The only time in recent memory that I actually wanted Christie to shoot.

There’s glaring holes like goalkeeper and centre half (and striker whilst Eddy’s situation is being sorted) but if we sign a couple of modern full backs his system will honestly look a million miles better.

Barkas did not even get his feet off the ground to get to the free kick. He must have known it was going to be an in-swinger by the way the player hit the ball. The ball went through his fingers whereas he could have punched that ball away or parried it if he had sprung up in time. He is tall as it is. Mat Ryan would have dealt with that shot all day long with a one handed parry away. Can not understand how Celtic did not make an offer to him that he could not refuse. Barkas looks like his mind is elsewhere. He is getting paid too much for too little. Seems something else is bothering him. Just going through the motions ?

Does barkas pull his hands away thinking the balls going out ? Anyway his kicking wasnt the greatest either so we really need a new keeper but tye full backs role really needs looked at , taylor and ralston did well but if ange wants them to drop into midfield then we really need two full backs that can pass the ball but last night you can see what ange has managed to do with 5 players short of were we ahould be , think in time we will be back to seeing us score 4 and 5 regularly in games again ! Highlights even more what lennon did to our club !

Good observation. So why are you letting the cat out of the bag to all and sundry? Just call up Gerard and have a tactical chat. Loose lips sink ships mate.

This is the progression after about 4 weeks. Very noticeable and positive. Imagine if we got him the players he wanted, say about another 5 of them this summer along with 2 of his own coaches, where we could be in 6 months. We were willing to give Howe full authority for what he wanted, so let's do this same for Ange. Let's do it properly. Back the man.....

We are a goalkeeper, right back, left back and striker away from winning the league with this guy in charge. Get these guys in and we win the league. Positive, attacking football against a well drilled danish side.

Imagine if we’d stopped the * around for Howe after 3 weeks rather than 3 months and got Ange straight in ?!? The club were ‘tracking’ him after all..

We would have THAT squad in place already (maybe :fear: ) …. But then again.. we should have got rid of Lenny in January or earlier. So many ifs and maybes over the last year..

Despite the result last night and NBs utter stupidity… it is encouraging progress for just 3 weeks and we’ve still got a few players we've not even seen yet never mind signings yet to be done (we hope).
