    He does right now no question. This is not an Ange at all. I will be 100% behind the team once the game kicks off but I really do not feel any optimism at all with what a shambles we are as a team.

    With this being Ange's first competitive game you wonder how much he is leaning on Kennedy for advice on how players perform under pressure. Playing Christie on the right does come across as very last season, seems like a Kennedy masterstroke to me :54:

    I'd have preferred to start with Montgomery on the left and Abada on the right than play Christie. And Ange has essentially just told Ajeti he isn't good enough for him by playing Eddy, who doesn't want to be here and probably won't put in a shift tonight, instead. That's one way to give what could well be your main striker for the rest of the season a vote of confidence...

    We'll see if it turns out to be a masterstroke or not soon enough I guess. Hopefully he knows what he's doing here.

    Maybe, if Christie stopped listening to poor advice, stop thinking he is the next Messi and repeated his one good season he has had with us then I would welcome a new contract for him. But I cant see him wanting to stay unless he is guaranteed to start and in the number 10 role. I think he is only in the starting 11 tonight because of experience.

    The issue isn’t his left-footedness; it’s that he’s not a winger.

    If anything, Ange playing a left-footer on the right is the only part of puttinh Christie there that actually makes sense.

    Same with Abada on the left (being right-footed): he’s looking to make it easier for them to cut inside.

    However, the bottom line is Christie can’t really play the wing.
