Thats what ange said. He will assess the players before any signings, and so far thats what he's done. Everyone gets a chance and weak areas he's bringing in new men. Unless he thinks Taylor is any good, were a dead cert to get new ones in.

 

to be fair lb is not one we are desperate for , taylor and boli are decent players not great players , if im honest i think bitton and welsh could do a job against the danes as i think we will try to have to majority of possession and i think they will sit back , dont get me wrong id love an new cb in to play but rb is the one im worried about , ralston for me offers nothing at all , i think a rb will come in before the deadline

Feel sorry for big Ange we have a huge game coming up on Tuesday and we don't even have half a team.

Hope if we lose or play poorly nobody gets on his back. I actually think most know his hands have been tied but there will be a few

Yeah I’ll admit I’m quite excited by the two new attackers he’s signed, they seem very quick creative and attacking players but I do think we need a big powerful unit of a striker as it’s hard to attack 10 men behind the ball, we can whip balls in for him to get on the end of

Do you know what I find really strange, everyone can see how abysmal Ralston is and he sticks out like a sore thumb as not fitting Ange’s style. Now I know O’Connor is majorly untested but all be it at a low level (Tranmere) and in a short spell against Sheffield Wednesday, he looked far more composed and natural in the position.

You would think with the full inverted full backs thing it would suit him too given he’s played as a holder in midfield before. He’s also come up against decent players at International U21 level and looked good.

I don’t mean as the long term solution as we definitely need to bring someone in but I really don’t get why he isn’t being given the same game time as ralston to show what he can offer.

 

O'Connor might get some game time today - you never know. If not I'd guess he just isn't impressing enough in training and the one pre-season game he had to do enough.

Ralston does appear to be getting further up the park into more attacking positions and trying to adapt to Ange's game as well as putting in a shift and actually getting to the by-line which has been unheard of recently. That's likely standing in his favour and maybe O'Connor isn't the competition he should be.

Ralston won't be our established RB this season and if they bring in 2 others in that position he should definitely go but he must be doing enough in training to be our best option for Ange. Not that is saying a lot.

 

Saw more clips of him scoring goals in Japan. Moves like Dalgleish.
