    You all know the drill

    Big Ange

    Pre season

    Ignore the scoreboard

    Check the possession stats

    Celtic > Bristol

Arguably his finest pre season victory since Man City?

We shouldn't expect miracles in the short term. Ye we lacked penetration but this Ange project is gonna months and months really. Hope we stick with it

    Happy with that.

Few youngsters look like they could make an impact this season. Others it’s just a matter of time until they’re punted.

Second half was comfortable and seemed to be more focused on getting it through unscathed more than anything else.

It’s good to actually watch a team that’s coached and has some patterns of play and an identity.

That Bristol mob are as bad a side as we'll play all season. If we can't break them down then that's worrying.

I think that there is still a lot of problems from last season in the side. Lack of creativity, poor passing, too much dithering on the ball.

They seem to be working hard on their fitness at least but since the players are all dropping like flies it might do us more harm than good.

I was hoping I'd be seeing a good bit of improvement by this stage bit it looks like change is going to be slow coming. Hopefully it'll look better once we see a more settled side and we get into the competitive games.

You can definitely see what the manager is trying to achieve tactics wise however, we need some good quality players in to enable him to do it

He looked more willing to take the ball in when closely marked and turn with the ball whereas maybe with brown there he was cautious of getting caught out

Just can’t get enough Depeche mode
Can see we’re hoping to pass it about the back to drag teams out of position but that only works against teams that want to come out and press you, Bristol played like your bottom half spl team that just sit deep and let you pass it about until you get near their box.

Pardon? Finest crackling mic ever, plus the sound dipping every 5 minutes and how can you forget the fantastic Welsh commentator that claimed Bain was Barkas for the first 37 minutes or my personal favourite calling Taylor Ajeti for a period where ajeti was passing to ajeti and then received the ball back! Lol

Mate it’s the third game of pre season. Contrary to what our Aussie friends say, Ange is not the messiah :giggle1:

Give him time to put his mark on the team.

Henderson showed some promise a few years ago and I thought he was gonna be a good un , but he has stagnated , ok but nothing special now , if you think about the game today he didn't affect it much and not a memorable performance really .

Its early days and its a meaningless pre season friendly.
I wont be getting carried away for the better or worse until the competitive fixtures. The same way i wont be with training ground videos.

Unfortunately Ange needs to hit the ground running with the tools he has been had to work with.
The true test starts next week.
